Brian425 0 #1 July 27, 2004 The doctor took my cast off today!!!! The bone is healing nicely and it is straight. The pins are still in. It's strange to see two pieces of metal sticking out of your hand. HAHAHA He said that I can start to jump on Aug 7. Only 1 month after the injury. He want me to get movement and build up strength again before I jump. I'll post a picture later. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. mattjw916 2 #2 July 27, 2004 congrats... when one of my co-workers got the pins out of his ankle (scooter accident ) he brought them to work for "show-and-tell" Of course we did have to make fun of him because of the circumstances of his injury. Brian425 0 #9 July 28, 2004 A terrible Volleyball accident. No jumping until the pins come out on 8/6. My doctor is VERY cool!!! He said lets take off the cast, start a little physical therapy and get you back out there. I've already got them caught on a few things. It feels weird. Oh well, still better than a cast. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
adamjenner 0 #10 July 28, 2004 damn that sucks. I always knew volleyball was a dangerous sport. at first glance of the pictures it looked like you had a nail shoved through it
jumpinfarmer 0 #11 July 28, 2004 How do they get them out? Do they just pull them out or cut them out?
Brian425 0 #12 July 28, 2004 Pull them out. It will probably suck. Oh well, hopefully it will be quick. My doctor is great. One if his favorite sayings is "This is going to hurt, alot" Seems he says this to me all the time. At least he's honest. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
jumpinfarmer 0 #13 July 28, 2004 Fuck that I think I'd have let it heal on it's own. My cousin has a little finger that points south when his hand points west. He ran it through the track of a snowmobile years ago and they just fused every thing together.
ifall 0 #14 July 28, 2004 I had two pins like that in my fifth metacarple (sp?). One of them got really loose as the bone would heal and eventually I could spin it around and pull it in and out a little. It was really kind of wierd. When the Dr. took them out it didn't really hurt it just felt like a little pressure and not much pain. You can feel it slide out of your bone which is a really strange feeling. Brian425 0 #19 July 28, 2004 Things I have learned with these pins: Magnets stick to them. They easily get stuck in pants pockets and are difficult to remove (had to get the cashier to help me get it out, yes it was a girl and yes she was cuteThey will poke you in the head and eye and wake you up They will poke Eva and wake her up They basically get caught on everything It will get sympathy beer. I WILL NOT HOOK ELECTRICITY TO THEM The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

Yes, most major credit card are accepted and the billing notation is a discrete anonymous name. Many houses also have ATM machines on the premises for fast cash."
