WFFC 1 #1 July 26, 2004 So, on a per participant basis (average) who do you think consumes more alcohol. One who attends the WFFC or Sturgis?----- ~~~Michael
Squeak 17 #2 July 26, 2004 If Stugis is held over the same time period, I'd go with Sturgis. No one has to get up for an early load or any load for that matter, it's just Eat DRINK sleep(or not depending on drugs) repeat as required. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! flyangel2 2 #3 July 26, 2004 Is the WFFC in your poll you? If so, then I would have to say Sturgis. I think you should make a poll that list some of the DZ.com people that will be there and see who will consume the most alcohol.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
funks 1 #4 July 26, 2004 Sturgis no doubt....We dont drink during the daily activities, the crazy fuckers at Sturgis drink morning, noon and night....
cocheese 0 #5 July 26, 2004 I'm thinking a lot of the people at Sturgis are 45 year old Alcochol Annomous peeps who are more worried about conforming to the group by finding the right leather jacket and chrome piece, their mutual funds and their kids trashing the house partying while they are gone. Bikes and booze don't mix either, plus they are worn out from the drive. My 2 cents.

I have been riding sportbikes for years and have never had a drop of alcohol when i was riding..however, it always surprises the hell out of me how many harley riders drink and ride and dont think twice about it.....its very rare to see sportbikes parked outside of a bar on a weekend night, but there always seems to be some harleys in the parking lot.... The party never stops until you decide to stop and then sometimes it doesn't let you stop. It is TOTAL insanity if you run in the right crowd. I don't know where you've been hanging out but I see plenty of crotch rockets at bars and even more crotch rocket accidents on a regular basis. I have been riding sportbikes since I turned 17 and have never layed one down let alone wrapped it around a pole. Again, this doesn't mean everyone who rides a crotch rocket/Harley is that way. For the most part crotch rockets are driven by younger males(17- 20s) and subsequently have a higher accident rate(insurance company can provide data on this as well). Harley owners tend to be a bit older and are usually past the "how fast can I go" phase. Drinking is drinking, add alcohol to anything that has moving parts and you can bet it's not a good idea.
