SUSHI...Do you love it?

Recommended Posts

of course- I love sushi:P:P--very addictive--- Tojo's restaurant is the best in Canada- the only place I eat sushi.

Hidekazu Tojo is a sushi-making legend in Vancouver, with more than 2,000 special preparations stored in his creative mind. His handsome tatami rooms and city-view dining room provide the proper setting for intimate dining, but Tojo's 10-seat sushi bar is a convivial ringside seat for watching the creation of edible art.

The rainbow roll is fabulous- check out the menu at:

SMiles;)

At Tojo's:

Have to order Omakase- :P:P
(literally means "Chef, I'm in your hands".)

Northern Lights roll (mango, avocado tempura, and asparagus rolled in paper-thin cucumber; hirame ungawa (flounder fin), toro, Spanish mackerel and Japanese sardine.

SMiles;)

I am fortunate to have one of the top sushi bars in the Denver area 5 minutes from my house........so it is a regular stop with me........my favs are nigiri toro,hamachi,hirami........tobiko,masago,spider roll and tempura shrimp roll ......jeez now I'm getting hungry:)

Where???
I haven't lived here that long and I'm still on the hunt for good places to eat.
I like Yuki in Park Meadows. I also went to a place called the Sushi Boat (don't remember where) and it was not good.

Love sushi. Favorites include sawagani (flash fried river crab), unagi shirayaki (fresh freshwater eel, not made in a factory in Taiwan), wasabi tobiko with uzura (raw quail eggs rock!), ama ebi (love the sweet tails and shrimp heads - yum!), o toro (bluefin belly. melts in your mouth), and shake (wild - sweeter than farm raised salmon).

Mmm.

There's a place in Boulder (I think its Zanmai) that had the BEST sushi ever!!

In New York there is a little 'hole in the wall' restaurant on Broadway and 69th. Its so small that the chairs touch back to back. I dont' know the name of that one, but if you're near it..its on the SouthEast Corner of 69th. Really good stuff~~~April

I love sushi, have it at least once a week. But for some reason, fresh, raw fish and the middle of the country don't sound like a good mix to me.

Sure they're not serving your Rocky Mountain oysters?

Yea man, (some people might kick for this) california rolls are good shit. Maybe a little bit of mayo on top without any sauce if it tickles my fancy at the moment. But the bitch of it is I don't eat seafood, so I usually just eat the veggie stuff.

I'd be scared of home made sushi, the cooks in the restaurant almost always seem to be old and i guess that means lots of experence and know what their doing.

There are only 2 places I'll eat fish in Colorado..Zanmai and Joe's Crab Shack. I love that place. Any place that gives you a bucket for shells is going to be a fun place to eat.

I've had Rocky Mountain Oysters. Once is enough, thank you!~~A.
