Rdutch 0 #1 January 19, 2004 This is based on the new movie coming out. If you had the ability to go back in time and change something that you could or could have not done, would you do it? And what would you do? Try and think how the change would have on your life today. As an example: If I went back and actually married my high school sweetheart, there is probably 100% chance that I wouldnt be a skydiver today, and an even better chance I would be unhappily married right now, with kids I cared a lot about. Personally I dont think I would go back and change a thing, but it would be cool to see how little things would change an entire outcome of someones lives. Laurel 0 #2 January 19, 2004 There was a time that I cut my bangs WAY too short. Because I have curly hair, I had one horizontal curl that was stuck to my forehead for a long time. I looked like ass. I guess that would be all I would change. ..................................................................... turtlespeed 226 #7 January 19, 2004 When I was 18 or 19 I had the chance to go skydiving in El Paso, and in Florida - I chose wrongly - I now have only just over a year in the sport - Hell Yeah! I would change stuff.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
kelel01 1 #8 January 19, 2004 Ok, so let's assume that if you can change the past, that if you go back and change it and don't like the result, that you can change it back to the way it was before you changed it. (Did anyone get that? I did, but just barely, and it came out of my brain. ) Here's what I would change: I wouldn't have quit gymnastics. I've always wondered how far I could have gone if I hadn't quit. I would have gone pre-med in college and be at some third-rate med school right now. Of course, I'd want to see the future implications of that decision before committing to it. I would have started skydiving on my 18th birthday, and not a second later! That's all I can think of off of the top of my head . . . Kelly
aero04 0 #9 January 19, 2004 Actually tried to do well in high school. I bet I would have graduated college 2 years ago if I had done well in high school. Asked out those 2 girls from my past that I was too much of a pus to even talk to. Those are the two that come to mind. I'm sure there is more however. quade 4 #10 January 19, 2004 There are some key moments in my life where I'm almost certain that if I had said "this" instead of "that" or had thought through "this option" instead of "that option" for more than just a few moments my life would be drastically different. Unfortunately, there's almost no way to know at the time that you're saying or doing those things how they will ultimately affect your life. This new movie isn't exactly new in its concept though. It's a Wonderful Life for instance.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
mailin 0 #11 January 19, 2004 I have thought about this considerably... I know if I could do it over again I would: have not taken out the restraining order against my dad - instead i would have actually sat down and talked it out. It would have replaced the 4 years I lost with my family Bought my car - should have just sunk the $500 into the ford tempo for new brakes. THis kia has been a money trap. Things i'm not so sure I'd do over again: Have visited N. Texas State instead of relying on brochures. I hated the school and ended up dropping out after one year - but had I stayed or gone to another I never would have met my husband - which would have sucked JenArianna Frances
ianmdrennan 2 #12 January 19, 2004 I'd have called Mike and told him he was gonna die on Saturday if he got out of the car. I'd also have wished him the happy birthday that I never got around to doing. jessd 0 #16 January 19, 2004 I'm not sure that I would actually change anything. Everything I did (or didn't do) makes me who I am now. But, if I had to look back and change a few things I would not have spent 5-yrs with my ex and I would have taken more chances. If I had done these things I would not have missed out on some experiences that I let pass me by. billvon 3,070 #19 January 19, 2004 Three events. 1. Seeing an Imsai 8080 computer at Polk Hobbies in NYC in 1975. (I was 10.) I took one look at it and knew I was going to master that thing someday. I got my first computer a few years later, and built my first computer in 1983. Now I design the things and they pay me lots to do it. 2. Dave Napoli forgetting his towel during spring break 1986. As he ran back into the dorm, he gave me a phone message that led to me becoming the second member of a small startup based at MIT. That led to two amazing years, the twins, and Heidi. 3. Dave something or other who made his first jump in NY about 15 years ago. That inspired me to make mine, and I was immediately hooked. That led to me moving to San Diego, becoming an instructor, and meeting Amy.
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #20 January 19, 2004 Personally, I feel that I have learned so much from my mistakes in the past. I have a pretty nice life, so I don't know if I would change anything. TitaniumLegs 8 #21 January 19, 2004 Chop Tim Daughters' Icarus EXTreme into little teeny pieces prior to July 5th, 2002. No guarantee he'd still be alive, and it's not the only way to change that day, but it would break the chain of events. I should have ditched mine sooner, too, but I wouldn't change that because if I didn't have my accident I would probably have lost my mind and broken up with Steph at some point, and I wouldn't be married to her and we wouldn't have Kira.
