Are you related to a millionaire?

Recommended Posts

There's an article on the hotmail homepage on this exact subject. Made me pose the question to you folks. If you are, have you benefitted financially from it?

My answer is Yes and Yes.

No and no.

I am related to a couple people who were on the Mayflower. But I haven't benifited from that, financially or otherwise.

OK, I just spit water all over my computer. Fuck you for that, but thanks for the laugh.:D:D

My folks are fairly well off, but probably not millionaires. I'm glad too, my dad has worked very hard and built two successful businesses during his life - he deserves to kick back, take some trips and play some golf.

They will give me hand if I'm in a bind and ask, but I have chosen to blaze my own way, so it has been very rare to ask. Even when I have asked, I usually pay it back.

I had some relatives who were mega, hella rich. I swear to god, the money made some of them go insane. Paranoid, pill-popping, alcoholic whack jobs.

There should be a good portion of skydivers with decent jobs who will be solidly in millionaire status by the time we retire. The problem is that by the time I retire, a million dollars won't be worth much. It would take about 3-4 million to support my current lifestyle, so I can't imagine what it will take by the time I retire.

Yes - My uncle Hugh has a mansion loaded with chicks (or is it bunnies) and a bustling magazine business. uncle George sr. used to rule the world, but now he jumps out of airplanes when he wants to have some excitement. The world ruling thing is now in uncle George jr's hands. Well, capable or not, the power was given to him. Nah. Haven't benefitted at all, but it was cool to come up with this first and pass on to my aunt, the family geaneology guru, before she knew.

No. Although my parents are financially "comfortable", they would have to pass away for me to inherit it. I don't want to see that day.:(
