scottbre 0 #1 July 8, 2004 Considering that FireFox has all the extra extensions that do all sorts of cool things like let you block ads and popups, among all sorts of other things, and considering that it works just as well as IE, FireFox is sweet! Sort of surprised I stayed away from it for so long. FireFox is the Mozilla version of Internet Explorer, for those of you thinking "WTF". http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" CanuckInUSA 0 #2 July 8, 2004 Yes I am done with IE and now using FireFox as well. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
larsrulz 0 #3 July 8, 2004 I assume you're joking...firefox is a POS. Mozzila 1.7 works just fine, but their newest firefox is crappy. Any sort of speed benefits are sorely lost due to firefox's loss of functionality and featureness. I got a strong urge to fly, but I got no where to fly to. -PF
unformed 0 #4 July 8, 2004 Besides the application suite of Mozilla and some other minor things, I can not actually notice any functional differences between Mozilla and Firefox. The only thing I don't like in Firefox is the Google textbox. I prefer Mozilla where it's in the URL textfield and you just move down to "Search Google for". The other, it doesn't store my Paypal password. That's the main reason I'm still using Mozilla 1.8a instead of FF. Besides that, what differences have you seen? This ad space for sale. SkydivingNurse 0 #5 July 8, 2004 I'm soooo never going back to Internet Exploitable. Firefox is da bomb.
sburkart 0 #6 July 11, 2004 I've been using Firefox for a week and it really does rock. Just ran Ad Aware and Spycatcher and they came back with zilch- a first. The tab feature is great too, and pages load much faster than IE ever did. Absolute must-have for dial-up users IMHO. Go go Mozilla! (heh) Edited to add: I did have some problems using a theme other than the default, but with the default theme it's solid.
Guru312 0 #7 July 11, 2004 FireFox is nice but get the whole shebang with Mozilla! Mozilla has a web page composition program aptly name Composer that you can use to create your own web pages. The best part, no matter if you choose FireFox or Mozilla, is that you will be free of Micro$oft. Better still, you'll be using a browser with less security problems than IE. If you haven't already done so, get the most recent patch!Guru312 I am not DB Cooper
