kansasskydiver 0 #1 July 6, 2004 Need some new ideas of places to add to my "Must go to" list. Where have you been that was just absolutely amazing? Where would you go? Doesn't have to be Europe, can be anywhere. Here's where I've been and my experiences: Europe: London, Scottland, Germany Mexico: Cities and surrounding/Pyrimids Brazil: Amazon, Sao Paulo, beaches etc Where to? I'd SOOOOOOO love to go to Australia but $$$ Oh and if anyone knows of any good deals to ANYWHERE that would be just the hot shit to go to, please provide a link<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! diablopilot 2 #3 July 6, 2004 Airfare to New Zealand is at all time lows. Go there. It rocks. The Hawaiian island of Kaui is pretty cool too.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Thanatos340 1 #5 July 6, 2004 Costa Rica. Beautiful County (Outside of San Jose), Very Friendly People. Rain Forrest, Cloud Forrest, Black Sand Beaches, Surfing, Canopy Tours, Volcanoes, Natural Hot Springs. Great Place to visit. Usually find Airfare for around $450 from most major cities. Hotels are reasonable. No Visa requirements. Fairly Safe (in most places). I have been to Costa Rica 5 Times and can’t wait to go back.

chaoskitty 0 #7 July 6, 2004 QuoteThe Hawaiian island of Kaui is pretty cool too. I went to Kauai last month, and yes it is gorgeous. Not really a party island though. Great place to relax. I posted some pics of the Napali Coast in my personal gallery.
skydiver30960 0 #8 July 6, 2004 I had a lot of fun on the Spanish Med in a town called Alicante. It's not a resort town, just a regular Spanish city that happens to be on the Med. It had a nice "real world Spain" feel to it but was still nice with the beach and Esplenade and all. Of course, I was sixteen at the time and was totally pumped that I was only in school three hours a day, could drink legally, and was THOUSANDS of miles away from my parents. BUT, I still think I'd have a good time if I went there today. Elvisio "don't drink Aguila" Rodriguez

Kid_Icarus 0 #10 July 6, 2004 Eastern Europe: Czech, Prague is AWESOME. Poland, Slovakia and Hungary are all beautiful, with hot women, cheap beer and they're not on the EURO, so they are CHEAP. But only for a couple of years, as they are all joining soon. ________________________________________ "What What.....
skybytch 273 #11 July 6, 2004 Depends on what you want to do... For camping, hiking, backpacking, beach walking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, and enjoying nature I can highly recommend Big Sur - basically the California coast from Monterey down to San Simeon. Get off the coast highway, away from the "touristy" areas along the ocean and head back into the hills where you'll find a few Forest Service campgrounds, a few rivers, old growth redwoods, trails and a whole bunch of wilderness to explore. Lots of public beach access along the coast from Monterey down to San Simeon. Monterey and San Simeon have touristy stuff to do - there's a nice aquarium in Monterey; Hearst Castle in San Simeon is a don't miss if you're at all into architecture, art, statuary, landscaping, tapestries and/or general jaw dropping opulence. September and October are the best bets for good weather (clear on the coast, warm but not baking hot inland) - and the tourist "season" is over by then (fewer people). freeflir29 0 #13 July 6, 2004 Phukett, Thailand........there's a Club Med there and last I checked it was only $450 for an all inclusive week. Pretty good deal. I think airfare runs around $700-800. LOTS of fun to be had there!

Well I wouldn't go to the Club Med in Phuket, actually despite a couple of beautiful temples and some incredible scenery, I will not go back to Phuket again.scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
flyhi 24 #15 July 6, 2004 QuoteI have been to Costa Rica 5 Times and can’t wait to go back. Ever been to Golfito? I spent four hours walking around looking for the nicest house in town. I hope I didn't find it. Kaanapali Coast, Maui. Specifically the Maui Westin. On the beach, Lahaina (party town) is right down the road. World Class golf courses if you are not an athlete, bike ride down Haleakala if you are. Snorkeling at Molokini Island. Water slide at the hotel which they will let you use even during Happy Hour. From about December to March you have a fifty-fifty chance of seeing whales from your hotel window. Day trips to Lanai or Molokai.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. Lainey 0 #22 July 7, 2004 Just save a little more and come to Australia you wont regret it. I can drive 10 minutes and be at the beach, 2 hours and be in the Blue Mountains, 6 hours and be in the snowfields (ok so our snowfields suck ) but we have nice beaches, nice people and some beautiful sights. Plus it's the middle of winter right now and the forcast for the weekend is in the low 20s (degrees celcius that is) . Deuce 1 #23 July 7, 2004 I'm in London and Edinborough next week. Gothenburg Sweden after that. I'll let you know. However, I'll be with Skreamer on my last leg through London, I'll have help from Caz on my first leg, and I'll be skydiving the whole time I'm in Sweden. Like I said, I'll let you know. nacmacfeegle 0 #25 July 7, 2004 Every skydiver should visit Queenstown, on the South Island of New Zealand, at least once in their lifetime. Its the adventure sports capital of the world, a beautiful place, they speak English, and has a great vibe about it, something to do with ley lines?-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
