So if you could go to any show still touring , who would it be ?

Maybe we can all chip in and get you there.

Yea i need to go to bed.

and take this thread highjack to pm's
Nah. It was a boring topic just asking to be highjacked. So how much for a jumpticket there these days ? And when will you be in the States ?

haha ANY band touring now... hmm i doubt many people would have heard of the bands I listen to, I've heard both my favourite bands live already actually so i'm content but if i had to say someone i'd never seen it would probably be either Brand New or Taking Back Sunday.

You can PM me if you can be bothered or i have msn. I'm sure everyone else doesn't want to read about my crap haha. :$

jump tickets are about $35 each here or $30each if you buy 10. thats AUS$ though obviously.

when will i be in the states... hmm probably not for a few years i just signed the papers on a loan for an apartment so now i have a large financial institution that cares what i do with my money each month. [:/]

Yeah, I always wear one. I've been wearing one daily since I was in about first grade. But I'm a little odd. I used to pretend my watch was like Space Ghost's power bands -- you know, those things he had on his wrists to fire laser blasts and stuff -- so I always wore my watch on my dominant hand, my right. Most righties wear a watch on the left (and that, I guess, is why the winding stem on most watches is on the right side).

G-Shock, baby!

P.S. I got one of those mini compasses for the band so that when I forget to note which runway we're using (our Caravan has no windows) I can just look at the compass! ;)

I stopped wearing a watch when I started working renaissance faire. No wristwatches allowed for faire workers in costume.

Before that, I never realized just how much the watch was controlling the way I lived my life. I ate lunch when it was "lunchtime", not when I was hungry. silly, yes?

I started thinking... its a weekend, WTF do I need to know what time it is? I don't have to be anywhere or do anything at a certain time.

For a few days, when I didn't have my watch, it drove me nuts. Now, seven years later, I go to bed when I'm tired, I eat when I'm hungry, and I have a 24 hour gym membership, so I work out when I feel like it.

Yes when I am at work - people kind of expect the military to be on time and get annoyed when we aren't...:P

But in my own time I make a point of taking it off now - and I am notoriously late for almost everything! But if you care you'll wait for me...:D:D:D

Hmm how on earth does a Braille watch work? Thats really cool!

Yeah I've prettymuch worn a watch every day since I was 10. I can't stand not wearing it.. Its not just the time thing its also the fact I can't feel it on my arm..
I only ever take it off to have a shower.

I voted not since I started skydiving, but actually it's been 11 years since I quit wearing watches... /reply]

I voted that too and put my watch in drawer years before I started to skydive. At first I used to take it of while I was working but then I realised I don't need it at all.

Last sunday when I was about to start a marathon, I tried my watch on first time in some years, but didn't like the feeling and thought I just run the speed I feel comfortable (if anyone's interrested, my time was 5:27:42).

Much of what I do is time-dependent, sometimes to the extent that a few seconds make a difference.

I have two Omega Speedmaster Professionals. One of them was a college graduation present some 25 years ago, the other was on Mike Mullins' wrist in Vietnam when Neal Armstrong was wearing his on the moon.

I'm wearing the one I got from Mike now; the graduation present is due to go back to Switzerland for its periodic maintenance.

I hear that... same boat... in AF but I never wear a watch.

although I'm quite anal about being on time... especially to the most important meeting of the day... speaking of which... lunch plans are in the works... gotta go.

I wear a watch because it is a very nice watch I have had for some time. It is gold and stainless steel so it is pretty tough too. I need to pick it up from the jewelers. It should be all nice and clean now.

I have so many watches it's ridiculous. Ever since high school I became an inadvertent watch collector. I would get a watch as a gift, wear it, the battery would die, and I stop wearing it. Then someone would think a watch would be a nice gift for me since I didn't have one on, I'd get it, wear until the battery died, and then stop wearing. Repeat a dozen times. So, I went out and bought my self a citizen eco-watch with a little solar panel in it. No battery. Been wearing it for 3.5 years. ;)

I used to wear my watch on my left (being a righty) but I have a men's SWATCH with time, day of the week and day of the month on it and the time glows in the dark.

It got in the way of my alti and since I started skydiving I've been wearing it on my right. Lots of people think I'm left handed as a result.

So although I always wear a watch, how I wear it has changed since I started jumping :)

The glow in the dark feature is handy. If I could get one with the month on it, I'd be set.

With that and GPS, I'd be able to wake up in the dark and be able to figure out what month it is and where I'm at. Handy to know.

I own a couple nice watches but can't wear them due to my skin reacting poorly to most metals. Even the fancy ones with hypoallergenic bands and backs use cheap metal pins to connect the band to the watch. Although those pins don't actually touch the skin, being that close to my skin is enough to trigger two small itchy rashes right next to the pins within several hours.

I don't wear one when I'm doing sports such as skydiving, snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, ect for the same reason I don't wear rings when doing those activites. If I should get hurt it would have to be cut off and it can be a snag hazard.

The rest of the time I always wear a watch, I go to so many meetings at work I need to know what time it is so I know if it's time to haul ass to the next meeting or not.

Well, I used to work in TV and there... time is everything so I always had a huge watch on my arm. I was one of those kids who wore a watch from first grade till now... but then, in March... something wonderful happened... I got fired! Ever since then, I think I have worn my watch maybe 3 times. So freeing!!
