gremlin 0 #1 July 5, 2004 Am looking at doing some tunnel time in Perris just prior to the Eloy Holiday Boogie and am wondering where is the best place to look for cheap flights from LAX or ONT to PHX? Thanks I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

EDIT: I wasnt 100% sure, so I checked, and yeas, thats the plan: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1136871#1136871Remster

QuickDraw 0 #6 July 5, 2004 Hey Adam, why not try and charter a local pilot ? i think hire charges are about $30 an hour wet. ...i could be wrong of course. -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning
gremlin 0 #7 July 5, 2004 what's the flight time and how would I go about booking one?I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....
quade 4 #8 July 5, 2004 It's -only- a 6 hour drive. Taking into consideration how long it takes to get to and from the airport, parking, TSA and other crap it might be a wash as to which is actually faster. Boring as hell, but less expensive than any flight and you'll have your own car when you get there.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
QuickDraw 0 #9 July 5, 2004 Well I think its about 380 miles by road, so i would imagine a small Cessna could do it in about just under 3 hours or so. Maybe contacting the manifest and asking them if they know anyone who could use the hours, or might be up for it. -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning
mouth 0 #10 July 6, 2004 I did it after Eloy last year on Southwest or America West. It was part of a 3 leg trip so I'm not sure how much it cost. It was a big PITA to wait for over an hour at the airport and all that but I slept most of the way so that was good. Not many people fly PHX to ONT. Also consider the cost of getting to and from each airport. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
ltdiver 3 #11 July 6, 2004 QuoteIt's -only- a 6 hour drive. Since when? Last time it was driven in less than 5. gremlin...Ask around Eloy. There are plenty of skydivers who travel between the 2 DZ's regularly. More fun when you travel with friends anyway. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
