Evelyn 0 #35 July 5, 2004 :4:0 Finally downsized from a Pilot 168 to a 150. Landed fine in no wind! First time I've downsized without having a crash landing on the first jump! Quote I ventured to Perris on Saturday and had 4 awesome skydives with some great people. . .man I love formation skydiving. I then did 10 minutes of tunnel time with Dom. I learned so much in there. It was great. Darcy, it was great meeting you and sharing tunnel time. Dom said my lower body position is fine now, just have to work on my "chicken arms". I'll be doing MJ's camp again next weekend. Maybe next time we'll get to jump together. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

indyz 1 #37 July 5, 2004 0:0:1 Saturday I did ground crew for the club's annual demo at the Milwaukee lakefront. That's a first. Fast lent me a very expensive digital camera and I took a bunch of pictures of the swoopers. Hopefully he'll get them online sometime in the near future (hint hint hint). Sunday I was recovering from Saturday's sunburn and the weather looked rough anyway. Car shopping and marginal weather today.
marcandalysse 0 #38 July 5, 2004 can we include today (the 5th) as part of our weekend? some 4-ways, and first 3 attempts at freeflying for both alysse and I....The world famous Mr Pip will be coaching us! It got stormy around 4 each day, otherwise numbers could have been higher for everyone.... The Muff Brothers and ZHills had the usual fireworks show, TK made roast pig and all the trimmings. No one and nothing got blown to bits at the fireworks show, BrotherMuff65, Rabbit, HappyThoughts and crew stayed burn free during the mayhem! Thanks guys! They will be making their next major appearance at Rantoul, inflatables and all! freeflir29 0 #39 July 5, 2004 Several:4:1 (I think) Chick came buy Friday afternoon....got in some "jumps." Got to the DZ around 2PM on Saturday. Went to AerOhio because I only had Saturday and Monday off plus all the good free flyers from the area were going to be there. (It's 20 minutes from home) Had to work Sunday from 745AM until about 5PM. Got in 4 nice jumps. Including 1 or 2 with our Beautiful Alanab. Got to hug Steph again since I hadn't seen her since London in Feb. Had to go home and take a cold shower after seeing the sweater she had on Saturday night. RRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! Wish I could have stayed longer on Saturday night but work was calling. Planned to go back to the DZ today but I woke up to a knee that I could hardly walk on. Oh well....I guess that means I'll have to go to SD Atlanta on Saturday!
kelel01 1 #40 July 6, 2004 Holy shit . . . 95:11:1 ABSOLUTELY THE BEST WEEKEND EVER! Averge temp: 95 degrees. Thank God we have that blow up pool now. At least a couple of hours was spent in it. Saw the best explosion ever . . . And it wasn't a bad thing, I might add. 11 jumps, all but 2 of them sitfly practice. 1 was mentioned in Mouth's post. Beer owed for landing on taxi way . . . ouch. My bad . . . Oh, and I almost forgot. Lost my helmet on opening on 1st jump of the weekend, but it was later recovered all in one piece. Kelly
ZoneRat 0 #41 July 6, 2004 •14•1 Fri: 40-something Skyvan/ Otter Sunset Formation: Very sweet. Sat: 4 happy FF's and one very messy Skyvan/Otter formation. Sun: 8 Team Training jumps. Aint never jumped me no Skyvan before. The tailgate's nice, but I prefer the Otter.“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”

coconutmonkey 0 #43 July 6, 2004 Lots: 11 : 1 Lots of big explosive fun at the CSS 4th o' July boogie. Raefordites converged for a memorable party and jumpin weekend. Myself, Tony T, Arvel S & Jim B contributed many large booming things to the evening sky for the 3d & 4th. Much fire and nignoggery was had by all! 10 cool jumps from the CSS CASA fleet. 1 for beeing a towed jumper on a Casa. Small eye bolt for the static line towed jumper retrieval system caught the leg strap of my rig resulting in a couple thuds before hauling myself back into the plane. Still made the last formation (after a quick gear check) before breakoff.Hearts & Minds 2 to the Heart- 1 to the Mind- Home of the Coconut Lounge, Spa, & Artillery Range

Amazon 7 #49 July 6, 2004 :7:0 WOW what a weekend. All 7 jumps with the camera.. some very good video taken.. from solo's to 12 ways... and getting decent shots is pricelessIts kewl getting to be all the way in the back of the plane finally. I really am suprising myself I got some great video of just about as many line twists as my tolerance for interesting jumps can handle before going to plan B. Luckily one of the AFF Instructors is putting together a training vid for students and its gonna get used for that. The 4th of July weekend at Kapowsin.. HAS to be experienced to be believed...I will need a couple days to recover.
