VanillaSkyGirl 6 #21 June 9, 2004 Right after I broke my ankle, I was having nightmares where I had hurt, paralyzed or burnt myself. One nightmare, in particular, was soooo awful In this nightmare, I burnt both my hands and my face to disfigurment. I could even feel the heat and pain. I saw my disfigured face and useless hands in the mirror and kept screaming over and over from pain and horror. I realized that burning myself like that would be one of my fears... Also, becoming a quadriplegic (or any significant paralysis), becoming brain-dead or even "slow". Also, watching someone whom I love suffer or die a slow, painful death and being helpless to help a loved one in pain/need is what I fear the most. Having no money and being too old and sick to properly take care of myself. Living to be really old, but having no friends and family.
