ACMESkydiver 0 #17 June 27, 2004 I did this weekend...and man did I have fun!!!! I'm still kickin' myself for shying away from tdoing a jump with the Golden Knights...they asked if I wanted to come along on a 4-way, and I declined as I thought I'd mess it up... Shoulda done it!!! But I had some GREAT jumps in with other people!!! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
tandembrent 0 #18 June 27, 2004 excellent !!! but not so excellent on turning down the chance with the knight's! don't ever turn down an invitation to jump with people that have more skill and experience! thats how you improve. and besides, if you would have screwed up the jump, they would have gotten to laugh at and with you about it. and to have the ability to funnel or take out a formation is THE #1 requirement to become a Flying Hellfish, which i beleive most of the Knights are already! have a blast!! brent ***~~~~Green grass and high clouds forever~~~~ no matter where you go, there you are! Dude we took our 3-way exit into a funnel onto our backs...does that count?! When we got down, Bill says "I forgot to exit!" -Then I think I helped flip us onto our backs, and at one point, we were like an inverted, spinning round... Back in my army days we would title that whole business a serious C.F., but it rocked!!! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. I figured, what the hell, if I fuck up these guys will know how to get out the way Shonuff - I managed to hang for about 3 points but those bastards were fallin' so fast I just couldn't keep up. So, according to prior instructions, I turned and tracked away. Of course, I tracked a freakin' 360, went right beneath Jeff Ritter, and dumped Nobody got hurt but man did I get some verbal abuse for that one They were actually very cool about the whole thing and the next jump they took me out and taught me how to track STRAIGHTNever turn down a good thing, ACME - You never know, you just might learn somethin' Peace, Z
tandembrent 0 #21 June 28, 2004 yeh! that would definately count as a hell fish type dive. any chance that your going to the WFFC this year? if so, be sure to stop at the Flying Hellfish tent and see Bubba. or just about anyone that is around and talk over the very minor details of membership. they will get you an official membership card and probably drunk if you can hang out. peace, brent ***~~~~Green grass and high clouds forever~~~~ no matter where you go, there you are! Argh...I'd literally JUMP at the chance to fly with the Golden Knights, especially if it was 4-way! I have jumped with different Airspeed members on 4-ways in Eloy at your jump numbers (just over 100) at the holiday boogie. They were my first real 4-ways, and they were awesome. Flying with people who are really, really good can only help you to improve, Acme. The next time, say "YES!" and get it videoed! Congrats on your 100th, Acme!!! ACMESkydiver 0 #23 June 28, 2004 QuoteNever turn down a good thing, ACME - You never know, you just might learn somethin' Peace, Z Yeah, I'm sure they wouldn't have expected anything astounding from a fast-falling no-jumpsuit-havin' newbie like myself...arrgh, next time I am so in on it... However the next time I expect that I will have a jumpsuit and my fall rate will be slower anyhoo. Their seminar was outstanding for a newer jumper such as myself. They even passed out free videos of it! I made sure to grab one of those. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. ACMESkydiver 0 #24 June 28, 2004 Quote I don't think that the Golden Knights are expecting perfection from 100 jump wonders. The next time, say "YES!" and get it videoed! Congrats on your 100th, Acme!!! Thanks Rosa...ya know what would have been funny...I shoulda gone on a jump with them, and right before exit, yelled at the guy nearest me, "Hey! Ya ever do a rodeo?" ...sure, jump on a GK's back in freefall and hold on for dear life. THAT would be hilarious! And if I lived to talk about it after being beaten for doing something that stupid, man would it be a story! That would be a video moment as I'm hitting the gas in the truck trying to escape... Naw...I'd like to remain intact. But I won't turn it down next time for certain. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
