Do you work out?

How often? For how long? What do you do? Why?
Okay, I'll start. I work out 5 days a week (M-F) sometimes on weekends, but I leave that open. I work out 2-3 hrs. a day during the week. I run a few miles, do 10 miles on the stationary bike, do weight machines for 1/2 hr. and do whatever class is offered - step, yoga, kickboxing, abs, etc. I keep weights under my desk at work and use them whenever I get the urge. My co-workers are not surprised to see me doing lunges down the hall. I just really like working out and keeping in shape. And even though I try to watch what I eat I have limited willpower so easier to work out . I'm interested in what other people are doing.

Sounds goofy... but rollerblading is a lot of fun... I typically try to run or rollerblade a few times a week, minimum total of 30 minutes, sometimes longer.... Too much of one or the other bores me... so I mix em up... just my 2 cents...:P

Probably. That is good exercise, right? I used to live in Petaluma next to a farm but the only thing we did with hay was sneak joints in the barn on top of the hay - amazinging we never caught it on fire!

I love to rollerblade! We go camping with our RV at a place that has a great bike/rollerblade path. We can rollerblade down to Manhatttan Beach or the other way to Venice.

I do about 10 minutes a day, three times a week lifting a large Dairy Queen mixed cone to my face. Can usually get in about 20-30 reps per work out.

On the alternate days, I like to work the lower arm using a Zenith Univeral remote with palm up, then palm down, sideways and behind the back channel changing. My wrists are really ripped at this point.

If you're going to be addicted to something, I guess exercise is a good one..;)



PS. I rollerblade or walk or run. I got sick of the gym and would much rather be outdoors. Pushups and situps at home. Not to mention extracurricular activities that burn calories as well.:)

Go to a climbing gym three days a week, climb for about 1.5 hours, then lift for another 1-2. Try to run a few miles the other two days of the week. (The last two are for jumping ;) )

Do it cuz it makes me feel good, and I need to something after sitting in front of a computer all day or I'm going to snap some day..

Unfortunately, I have never "worked out", and my eating habits are atrocious. :| I really admire and respect the fact that some people, like you, can have this kind of discipline with their eating habits and physical fitness. Frankly, I would like to have better eating habits because I was raised to eat quite healthy, but when I grew up...my eating habits became horrible. I would love to be healthy, again.

As for exercise, I only do whatever physical activity that my body gets from activities that I may do for pleasure, such as skydiving. I do feel better when I have pushed myself/worked hard enough at jumping feel a little sore, but it usually takes a lot for me to feel sore. Of course, now that my ankle is broken, I will have to ease back into things. Well, that is if I can control my lust to jump my little buns off once I get the ok from my doctor. :P

Evelyn, do I know you? Did we share a jump on Memorial Day weekend? If so, "Hey there, Evelyn!" I hope that all is well with your skydiving progression. :)

hmmm well when i'm being good I run half an hour in the morning, then go to the gym in the evening after work for weights and an hour of cardio, 5 days a week... although i havent been good for over two weeks now and i'm starting to feel slightly pogish [:/]

i also ate heaps of chocolate last night so i'm feeling quite guilty about it right now reading your post :$

I work out during lunch. I run six miles from my base to the Star of India in downtown san diego mondays wednesdays and fridays, and tuesdays thursdays I use weights.

Yes we did share a jump. The one where they broke off early due to a long spot snd left us doing a 2-way wondering where they went. Then we had a conversation after the jump. You are soo sweet Rosa and so nice of you to ask about me.

If I understand what you are asking correctly, then just do this: When you want to quote all, or a part of what someone has said in a post in your response, you click on "Quote" at the top right, as opposed to "Reply"

You will note that this will bring up a window where you will see something like this:

[Reply.] Hey there Evelyn, how's it going? [/Reply.]

Just type underneath this (like this) and hit submit. Note that you do not surround your answer with any symbols. You just type after the [/Reply} and your answer will appear under the last underline of the quoted text. Now, if you want to have just a portion of the quote included, simply edit what is between the two Reply symbols, like as in this case:

[Reply.] Hey there Evelyn,[/Reply.]

I took out "how's it going." Then you just enter your text afterwards.

Additionally, if you want to quote someone a line from someone elses post in addition to the post you are responding to, you would have to type or copy that line in, and then begin it with the symbol [Quote.], then end the line with the symbol [/Quote.]

Note that this has been made easy for you by the "quote" button that is below the small window you are typing in. Just hit the "quote" button once, then enter the text, and hit the quote button again. That will in turn create the correct characters that need to be in the begining and end of your statement. (quote and /quote).

How often: M, W, F

How long: 1.5 hours max (15 minutes streching, 20 minutes on the treadmill, the rest is lifting)

Monday: Legs, back, treadmill
Wednesday: Chest and biceps
Friday: Shoulders and triceps

I'll ususally do three sets of situps on each of those days, too. And if I'm bored on Tuesday and Thursday, I'll jump on the treadmill for 20 minutes on an incline so high that the General Lee could use it as a ramp.

Why: because I was starting to turn into a fat pig. It actually got to a point where I couldn't do the top button on my poverty stricken, $15.00 Wal-Mart Wrangler jeans.

When it comes to eating, I *try* to eat 6-8 small meals a day, but...that's somewhat a pain in the crap factory, so...I'm slacking in that department.

But I have cut back on my food intake. I know I could eat two hamburgers, or a whole pizza, or a pound of bacon, or whatever --- but I don't.

I lift weights 3-4 times a week, although the past couple weeks have been hit and miss due to school and work.[:/]

Freeweights, real heavy, nothing else satisfies me for working out.:)
