aaron1029 0 #1 April 1, 2010 I'm starting to shop around for my first set off gear. Anyways 10 yrs ago I got burned on the upper part of my body along with my neck. I have trouble with helmets because the chin straps comes off in freefall, because my neck isn't very defined because of the scars. Any ideas for a good helmet. Or what should I do? JohnnyMarko 1 #3 April 1, 2010 Ive got a Skysytems Benny and I love it...great first helmet IMHO...and the fit is really snug, but not like super tight to where you can feel your pulse in your head...and the chin strap has some soft felt covering the strap and because of the fit of the helmet, my chin strap isn't cranked down on my neck..hope dat' helps grammar edit
AggieDave 6 #4 April 1, 2010 Perhaps something with a chin cup? You can purchase a helmet that has a ratcheting chin cup, ratchets like on a ski boot and a chin cup sort of like on a football helmet. Do you think that would work for you? Typically you see that for a camera setup, but you could put it on a non-camera helmet, like one from Bonehead, with no problem.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." sickfish46 0 #6 April 1, 2010 Hi aaron i jump with a fuzion ex with a chin cup as I find webbing straps really uncomfortable. I chose the fuzion because of the way it fitted around the back of my neck and the overall quality of the helmet. 2K Composites were very helpful, try giving them a call they may be able to help you to..
