rocketfeuille 0 #1 June 16, 2004 They were handing out the new mach 3 power razor at the grocery store, so I thought I'd check it out. The closeness of the shave was about the same as the normal mach 3, but with WAY less irritation. Seriously. WAY less. In fact, none at all. And I have realy sensitive skin. Just thought the guys out there might want to know, since I thought it would be the biggest waste of money ever.
Remster 30 #2 June 16, 2004 Did you shave a really sensitive area? Remster
seekfun 0 #3 June 16, 2004 Is this the razor with the flux capacitor on it? If so, I saw this thing, but honestly, I was afraid of it. Why do you need to be electrocuted to get a good shave? I don't get it. - topher"...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins

That's just their fancy way of saying the thing vibrates.
dgskydive 0 #5 June 16, 2004 Actually I bought one and love it. It seems every f--ing time they come out with a new one I just have to buy it. I have to admit I was afraid the first time I used it. Kept seeing myslef cutting my throat with it because of the vibration. No worries! I have really sensitive skin, so much so that I usually don't shave unless I really have to (maybe once a week). It normally hurts to bad and my neck gets all kind of razor burn and bumbs on it. Not anymore!Dom
Slappie 9 #6 June 16, 2004 I used the regular Mach3 for a few years. Then I switched to the Quatro. I'm not happy with the Quatro at all. I've been thinking of checking out this new Mach3. This was some good info. "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them." beavdog 0 #8 June 16, 2004 I just bought one of those yesterday, I havent given it a test run yet, but it might be "fun" for those sensitive areas... Here's to the Breezes that blows through the Trezzez.....
seekfun 0 #9 June 16, 2004 QuoteThat's just their fancy way of saying the thing vibrates. When you say that it vibrates, do you have to hold down a button, or does it vibrate on its own during the whole shave? I think I flip my razor around in my fingers too many times per shave to keep a button pressed. - topher"...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins

seekfun 0 #11 June 16, 2004 QuoteIt's prolly difficult for you to shave with that severe lean to the left you got there... Yup, I cut my chin wide open on Saturday. It bled for nearly 3 hours. I still look like a damn fool at work with this big ol' scab on my chin. I feel so 15. - topher"...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins
rocketfeuille 0 #12 June 16, 2004 Quote When you say that it vibrates, do you have to hold down a button, or does it vibrate on its own during the whole shave? You just push a button and vibrates until you push it again. Once you turn it on, you use it just like a normal razor. I, too, was pretty nervous about using it the first time. I imagined thousands of tiny razor cuts all over my face. But, like I said, it was pretty nice.

Byron03 0 #16 June 17, 2004 Umm...after reading this I have a question: Am I the only one left in America that is still using a razor with 2 blades? I am still using the handle from the razor that Gillette (or whoever it was) sent me in the mail around my 18th birthday. I just buy the replacement blades every once and a while. Does this make me completely behind in hair removal technology? Do I need to leave work right now to run out and buy a newer/better/vibrating razor? seekfun 0 #17 June 17, 2004 QuoteDo I need to leave work right now to run out and buy a newer/better/vibrating razor? STOP! If you're happy with the shave you currently get, and your woman is too, then don't go purchase one of these Mach III devices. Once you use one, you'll swear by them. The problem is, they're expensive. I'd have 377 jumps by now if I didn't have to shave. - topher"...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins
