Remster 30 #103 June 10, 2004 QuoteYes, the month's salary thing is still a good standard to go by for the ENGAGEMENT RING Bla bla bla. Do you have DeBeers shares too? Remster
Tonto 1 #104 June 10, 2004 I hear you. Here in Africa, with the strong dollar, some of the figures in the poll represent over a years salary for most people around marrying age. The ring means little. It's the love that counts. tIt's the year of the Pig.
slug 1 #105 June 10, 2004 QuoteLiz and I were talking about it and she presented the idea of getting her a tattoo of a ring on her finger as the engagment ring and then she can wear the wedding band/ring over the tattoo. I love the idea Hi Viking Sounds good to me as long as the "engagement ring" doesn't have your name on it. R.I.P.

mouth 0 #107 June 14, 2004 LMAO....you have high expectations here young Viking. My engagement ring and my band cost less than $300. His ring cost close to $400. I tossed my rings when I got divorced. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.

tbrown 26 #110 June 15, 2004 I think we spent maybe $300 on the wedding bands. Real gold ones. The engagement ring cost all of $40. My wife's ma gave her original engagement ring (she divorced my wife's father), and my ma anted up a diamond she was saving for the first of her kids to get married. A local jeweler put the two together for $40. Now, 23 years later, we're still wearing them. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
