Now all he has to do to earn back my respect is re-join the NRA and admit that yes, in fact, the BATF IS a bunch of jackbooted thugs.

I really respect the former President for even attempting to skydive at his age and knowing that he is doing this for HIMSELF, not to impress anyone. I don't care if he fails every level of AFF, the fact that he has the balls to do this and his reasons for doing this are admirable enough. Thank God that none of us had to go through our first jumps (esp. AFF 1) in front of the whole world. Would we all have managed to look as calm and happy as he did?

Seriously how cool is this? He's 80 and wants to go again I know plenty of 20 or 30 year olds that can't handle the stress of a skydive much less when they're 80. It's very easy for a skydiver to be critical of a celebrity's performance in a skydive but very few if any of us looked good doing our level 1 or 2-7 for that matter.
