Lady's Razor: Intuition

Recommended Posts

I swear! I thought about posting this before the other razor thread! :D

I've heard all about this razor that you don't have to use shaving cream with. What a great idea! That would save me so much time! My mom got one for free, and she let me use it.

Since it's summer, and I wear shorts quite often, I shave my legs and armpits more. The razor makes having to shave more frequently less of a pain since it is quicker. However, it doesn't get the closest shave (that would be Venus), and I didn't attempt to shave "certain areas" because it's big and clunky, and you have to push down for the razor to come in contact with your skin. That just seemed like a major disaster waiting to happen, so I avoided it.

But, anyways, I know there are quite a few women wanting to know how well it works. That's my in depth review of it.

I tried the intuiton and even though it does give a softer, quicker shave you are right about it not being as close. I did attempt to shave certain areas but gave up because it was so big and went back to the venus. My daughters didn't really like it either.

Nothing works quite as well as my pink Bic 2 blade for women & body wash!! super smooth every time ;)

I don't need no stinking $4+ razor - esp when it doesn't even end up nearly as smooth.

But thanks for the review anyway. My one ? w/ that razor is this... when the stuff substituting cream round the razor starts to go away, do you have to then start using regular cream, get a new razor or does it just never erode?

You have to buy a replacement cartridge. I don't know how much those cost. Luckily, my mom picked up a free one of those, too! It'll be nice to have for the summer when I shave much more often, but that's all it's really good for. It'll be much easier to shave when I shower at the gym as well (that can get tricky since I, obviously, don't sit on the ground!)

blech, heck no!!

i never sit on the ground. in the smaller showers, I end up hanging my leg in mid air - great exercise, not so great for a relaxing shower.

def not the razor for me then.

it's nice you get a free one for the summer though!

i cant figure out why no one has this problem but me - i shave 1 time with the Intuition and the cartridge is done! the part with the shaving cream is almost gone after 1 use. maybe i learned how to shave incorrectly :P.

i've stuck with my mach 3 until something better comes around.

has anyone tried that new thing - it starts with a V and its not a razor blade. its just plastic, but something about the cream helps the plastic "blade" remove hair...
Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

I HATED this razor!!

First, it's very expensive (although it apparently wasn't too expensive for me to at least try :S). Second, the shaving cream stuff around the blades doesn't last long at all so I found myself in need of a replacement cartridge very quickly. Third, like you said, the blades aren't sharp, as I had to shave each strip several times for a clean, smooth finish. (I can't imagine how this would affect "that" area - YYOUCH!! I didn't go there either.)

But hey, at least now I know!! :)

I don't rememeber the name of that "v" product. I figured it was some variation of nair & we all know how well that works.

Geez, never thought I would be on a thread about shaving my legs, but after doing it for a few months (shaving my legs that is) this info is really interesting. Right now I am using a Mach 3 and shaving cream, twice a week. But, I must say ladies, I give you more respect than ever for the effort ya'll go through for us guys. By the way the "v" stuff is call veet and doesn't work very well on my thick stubble, but then Nair was a waste of money too.

Nope no razor burn although where it does pull out the airs you want to make sure the skin is held tightly especially in VERY sensivie areas.. because it can grab skin .. uh there. The main thing is what does come back does not cause bumps.. no itchies....like razor stubble when it grows back... its like waxing in that respect.:)
