SGC boogie... the aftermath!

Recommended Posts

How about some kudos to the pilots, manifest and loaders. You realize they are the ones who get you in the air so you can have sooooo much fun. :)
Sorry the weather was so bad on Sun and Mon. I am sure you all realize that SGC can only control so much, and after 42 years we have never figured out how to control the weather. :(

Hope all had a great time, and will visit us again in the near future.

Truly a good time was had by all!

Thank you for skydiving with us and hope to see all of you again.

Bert! I knew it started with a B. Thanks sunshine.

Ok all the labeling changes are made that have been sent to me. Still some people who are yet unidentified.

Paige, if you want to IM me the link to your pics on Yahoo, before posting them here, I can get all of them and put them with Alana's before hand so that they will all be out there together.

Lee, thank you once again for the wonderful meal Saturday night. It was the perfect ending to a day of jumping.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone that came out and had a great time with us. Sorry about the weather, Carrie forgot to pay the weather bill this month. >:(

My jumping was limited to only 6 jumps but I had a great time on those jumps. Got to share the air with my sweetie, jumped her rig, and took Liz on her first Birdman jump. All and all.. a great weekend. Sunday was even fun with the Cessna jump. Too bad that no one else got to experience the joy in turning to jump run at 1600 feet and telling the pilot "take it as high as we can get" :D:ph34r:

Okay, here is the link to my pics. There are only 20 up because I just can't wait any longer for the others to upload. I'll be adding more tomorrow. Hope the link works, I'm not sure if it will. PM me if you have problems, it just might be easier to email you a CD with the pics burnt on it.

Yea, I can't find the Memorial Day album on your site either, Paige.

On a side note, I've now added a bunch of screen shots from various video that I have of the weekend to my ever expanding photo album of Memorial day pics. I will add Paige's once they appear. Currently there are 263 in my album:

Thanks to Alana, I got all of the OU tandems labeled. So now almost everyone is identified.

I've also added the first 20 pics that Paige has gotten up on her website and will try to add the rest as she does.

Thanks so much, Jim and Lee, for providing us a great dropzone where fun weekends like this can happen. B|

Lets not forget to thank the pilots and the people on the ground. Final count was 20 Casa loads and 8-9 Cessna loads Saturday and all most all were back to back loads too! Sunday brought us 1 full altitude load and one hop and pop Casa pass then one 182 load. Monday was weathered out thanks to the wind.

The entire weekend went so smooth and the most serious injury was some sore butts from hard landings and a few hang overs ;)

Also we had 3 cutaways at least on Saturday. Rigger Pete (Spy38w) got a work out ;)

Jim, Lee, Robin, Paulie, TreeBoy, Phreezone, Kelly, Carrie, Luis, and EVERYONE I'm leaving off who helped organize or worked at the boogie....

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That weekend was soooooooooo much fun!!! I think I can speak for the Tecumseh crew and say that we had a seriously amazing weekend and we WILL be back!!

Jim... you were so welcoming to us and we really love your airplane!!! Perfect zeroGs for the raft dives! The facilities were beautiful and we had everything we needed and then some!

Lee... your cooking was even better than predicted! Oh, yummmmmmmm!!! I was so glad to meet you and you were so nice to cook for all of us. Thanks for keeping your eyes out for the one's who landed off. I've heard rumors that you're always the first to notice and send out the picker-up-party.

Kelly... you worked so hard to keep those loads running smoothly! Thanks!

Manifest... glitch-free and so friendly! You guys rocked!

The riggers... dayum! So quick! Jim O was back in the air in like less than an hour!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!

Paulie and Luis... the coaching and organizing was so spot on! Paulie organized some major cool dives. And both of you guys were great coaches! Learned lots. Bought beer! B|

So anyway, I'm just starting to settle back in, and wanted to send my personal thanks out to everyone. SGC is like a home-away-from-home for me. Can't wait to come back!!!

Yeah....I usually don't mind landing out but I was having reservations as I swooped the corn stubble.....thinking about the fact that I was wearing sandals. :D I just did my patented swoop, swoop, stop on a dime out landing technique. B|

A mile wouldn't be that bad. It's when you land a few miles off the dz, have to cross an electric fence and got shocked in the coochie that i hate bad spots....:S
