BoostedXT 0 #1 May 27, 2004 I went to work today with the thoughts of fear and uncertainty. I didnt know what to expect seeing how today was the day I would teach children the game of golf. These are no ordinary children.....they were kids with Illnesses, some terminal. A few of the children had Cystic Fibrosis, while others had Cancer and Leukemia. I didnt know what to expect when I went to work, but leaving work I came to the realization that I had just met some of the most incredible people. They are children, knowing that they only have a few years of life left, yet none of them frowned, none of them cried. All had smiles, and all were laughing and having a good time. I feel completely blessed to have had the pleasure to meet these outstanding individuals. They taught me a lot in just one day. I sit and wonder, "why them? Why children? Why should children be placed in such troubled situations? I think today I might have found just one answer.....to teach us adults a little about life. Today an 8 year old taught me something. BoostedXT 0 #7 May 28, 2004 Thats for the compliments everyone, but in reality I think its these kids that rawk. Today was another day where I worked with them. I went in today and worked with the same kid Max B. He is a 17 year old who has Cystic Fibrosis. Yesterday we worked on a few things and he went home and practiced. He made incredible leaps and bounds, and I told him that. He put more work into his golf game in the past 2 days than some healthy 30 year olds I work with. We got him to play Arrowhead today which is a great local course, and he is playing another top 10 national course on saturday. All who can....give something, anything, no matter how small you think it is. Donate to a charity like Make a Wish, or Team Funnel. These kids are amazing and deserve whatever we can give them. I talked with my Grandfather tonight and spoke to him about this and his responce was...."God chooses children because he needs a few more angels."
