seekfun 0 #51 May 27, 2004 SublimeBreeze, Quote The question then is a woman life worth more than a mans life and if women want equal rights then the have the equal right to die. Keep an eye on the covers of newspapers lately. Last night, I saw a picture of a young lady covered in blood on the hood of a HMMWV in Iraq with 3 guys covering her while the area was secured. Brother, women are dying in situations where they traditionally haven't before, and they're bravely laying downing their lives to defend men in these same situations. Equality, in the sense you were describing in the Titanic example, is arriving. Good fuel for the fire, though... Thanks for the responses, everyone. topher "...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins
RoadRash 0 #52 May 27, 2004 Quotelol, yeah i think it is live an dwell. I am from the south and am a kind of good old boy in alot of ways. So, yaeh my mom raised me right. I like doing things for girls even if they are not my GF . I like to see them smile when you do something for them that they dont expect. And if they smile, well... im happy Guess what? You just made me smile...... I'm originally from the south and I was taught to open doors for women with children, the elderly, and anyone, and I MEAN ANYONE who is at the damned door. Since I moved to Indiana...I have had the door slammed in my face so many times that I have lost count... I can't tell you how many times that a male of twice my size has let me struggle with large objects, and made the excuse of, "She can handle it." I have been labeled a tomboy since I was young...and unfortunately, most of my guy friends treat me like one of the guys and half the time forget that I am female. That is why, when a man treats me like a lady, if they ask for my number, I would definitely consider it...I don't receive chivalrous gestures often, so its almost like I have to treasure them when I receive them... And, when a door is opened for me I smile and say thank you...(and when someone sneezes, I also say bless you, so deal with it). To tell you the truth, WTF happened to common courtesy....and MANNERS... Rant over...... ~R+R~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~...
