Email sent to Jason.

Being that the guy knows absolutely nothing about what he's got, my guess is that it has 8 reserve repacks on the card, so he thinks that means 8 jumps. That's just a guess, but where else would he have come up with such a precise (and low) number?

I sincerely hope that Jason gets his rig back!

The harness size is a C-17 not a C-16

Isn't there a way to look up a rigger from his/her seal? The seal is shown very well in one of the pics, someone could find out what rigger that was and contact him/her.

I can't see any discrepancies from the pics. The only thing then that we know to be different is the harness size... perhaps the owner could have got that wrong?

If it is stolen, I don't think anyone should contact the seller to tell them. This is not one of those professional online acutioneers and could be the actual thief themself. Even if they're not, if they find out the item is stolen it may well simply dissapear so they don't lose their money.

If it is the item, leave it to the owner to contact the police to get the rig back. Don't trust the seller to simply hand it over - they may not be an innocent party.

I can verify, I believe that is indeed Rastas' rig. I've known him for a long time, and I've seen that rig 100's of times.

Alana, you might wanna give him a call.

Please no one contact this seller just yet, I'm calling the USPA to find out that to do. Do not tip this guy off

Right on. Nobody contact the seller, we want him to still have his stuff up when he gets busted.

I'll be calling Rastas in a little bit to inform him.

Yes, let the owner of the rig deal with it. He is the one who will have to notify the police and go through the process of prosecuting the theif (if this is indeed the stolen gear). I'm sure he appreciates your concern, but there's really nothing you can do at this point.

Hmmm.....the LAPD can't be reached from this area? WTF?

You might wanna wait a little while and call back to both PD's, it's only like 7 AM there now.

WW, do you have Rasta's phone #? The number that Carrie has isn't where he lives anymore

No I don't. Alana was gonna PM it to me but hasn't yet. Hopefully her number is current.
