Norton VS McAfee

Recommended Posts

I went to the Avast site to download the program and ran across this sentence:

You can try our programs before buy if you wish. avast! Home and Professional Edition work for sixty days since the first installation even without serial number.

Have you had it more than 60 days?

I use Norton Internet Security. I did have one situation where it was using 99 percent of my CPU, bogging the system down. I found a solution for it on their support site. Other than that, no problems. I'll buy it again for my next computer.

Yep!

Basically, that mean the program will install and run without registering. I've been running it for over 2 years and no cost.

You can just install it and let it run for the 60 days, but it's easier to just register it right away.

Also, remember they will ask you to re-register every year. It's still free though.
