Battlefield Vietnam

OK, so on a whim I bought the game and was playing it offline because i've never played a FPS on the computer before (i am more a console fan). I've been loving it, and wanna know who plays it so as to find others to play with.

I really really suck at it but at least it's great fun to watch me crash the helicopters into the water!

Yeah, i was between Battlefield and Far Cry, and decided to hold off on FarCry till i can beef up the comp a little.

I'm still a huge fan of Desert Combat. You need the original Battlefield 1942 and then download the free DC mod. Couple of peeps I've played with regularly came back from Vietman cause they preferred DC better. Hence my decision not to buy it yet

I'm not a fan of those 'war/tactic' games, but the one I like a lot is Ghost Recon, check it out.

ghost recon is alright, but a little too realistic to be fun.

my favorite thing to do is download mods for the orginal bf1942, things like DC, or eve of destruction, a vietnam mod.

and ivan, you know there is a really cool Star wars mod out there... you get to fly tie fighters and x wings... i think it would be right up your alley.

I have the ghost recon games on the xbox, so i am covered there. they are good games but they desperately need a facelift.

I play BF Vietnam. Very addictive game. I don't play on any particular server, just whatever has a low ping and has room on a map I want. Same name as I post by. If you look me up, my brother and I and some others sometimes set up our own server and games you can get in on if you want.

BTW - FarCry is a great game, but the savegame points are as annoying as people say.

d/l the dc mods for bf1942 last week and i cant stay off the computer. dont play on any paticular server but am having a lot of fun with desert combat. d/l eod but dont care much for it.
