kai2k1 0 #1 December 8, 2003 Have you ever had a pair of shoes that you think you should replace but you cant? I have this pair of shoes that I remember seeing in the window of the store the day I bought them. It seems as though it was only yesterday. New bright white laces, they smelled perfect, and the tread was brand new. But over time the laces became dirty and dingy. The tread started to wear out. and they seemed like they were not as comfortable as they had once been. But they're what you have grown accustomed to. They fit my feet. dont really smell all that bad, and theyre not completely worn out yet. I dont really want to replace them and I dread having to go out and find another pair of shoes that will fit. since im very picky about my shoes and I dont fit alot of shoes out there. I guess my question is should i invest more time and money in the shoes i have now, but just replace the laces and maybe have them re-soled. Or should I give up and go looking for another pair of shoes all together? There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan

dropoutdave 0 #3 December 8, 2003 I have the same problem. My shoes are almost falling to pieces but I can never bring myself round to buying a new pair but when I do get round to buying a new pair I wish I had done it ages ago. Same with my guitar strings, i'll keep playing them til they snap then when I replace them I realise how shitty my old ones were and wish I had done it a long time ago. I never learn though. dropoutdave 0 #4 December 8, 2003 You can't go wrong with a pair of Etnies, i've had pairs that have lasted 4 years and the sole hasn't even shown any signs of wearing thin. NoShitThereIWas 0 #8 December 8, 2003 Those are the coolest shoes I have ever seen. I had never heard of designing your own shoes before... They are a bit expensive, but if they last a very long time and include shipping, I guess it's not so bad.Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say." brycewitcher 0 #11 December 8, 2003 Quote Why not make a pair exactly as you want them? Check out.... That is the coolest thing I've seen today! It is soooo hard to find shoes in my skydiving colors - yellow and orange. Hope they're comfy. This site could solve my challenge - and KAI's. Thanks. Does anyone know of other sites similar to this? Like custom gloves, other shoes, etc...... >->o . o<-<

peacefuljeffrey 0 #13 May 11, 2004 My parents made me an excellent pair of shoes 32 years ago; I've never had to replace them, and I expect I never will! They're 100% waterproof, oil and stain-resistant, they've never worn out and they are always super-comfortable. They go with just about everything and can never go out of style. If I step in something gross, a little soap and water is all I need to clean them up. They do not cause bunions, blisters or back pain like other shoes do. They are incapable of scuffing up a nicely polished floor. In fact, I even skydive in them regularly. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
