AggieDave 6 #29 April 28, 2004 Here's the "Little Things" that Robert Earl Keen thought of: Quotet's the way you stroke my hair while I am sleepin' It's the way you tell me things I don't know It's the way you remember I came home late for dinner Eleven months and fourteen days ago CHORUS It's the little things the little bitty things Like the way that you remind me I've been growin soft It's the little things the itty bitty things It's the little things That piss me off It's the note that you leave on the breakfast table With a list of things to help me plan my day It's the way you say we could have If you'd done the things you should have It's the little things Darlin that make me feel this way CHORUS It's the little things the little bitty things like the way that you remind me I've been growin soft It's the little things the itty bitty things It's the little things That piss me off --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." sdgregory 0 #30 April 28, 2004 QuoteQuoteI love crawling into bed when the sheets are cold I hate that!!! Flannel sheets are the BOMB DIGGITTY!!!!!! Oh man I gotta go with mailin here. I love that feeling when you first climb in bed and the sheets and pillows are cold. It drives me nuts when I get upstairs and my wife has warmed them up on me. I prefer she let me warm them up for her! Other things I am thankful for The laugh of my children when we play together. The look in my wife's eyes when she gets inspired. The smell of chocolate chip cookies in the oven. That distinct smell of the air at 14000 feet. The sound the ocean makes as the tide rolls in and the smell of salt in the air. The feeling you get when you are in a town you have never been to before. The smile on my daughter's face when I tell her how beautiful she is. The feeling I get when a package arrives addressed to me. The feeling you get when you finish a good book. The warmth of the sun and the touch of the air when you stand outside with your eyes closed. The joy of discovery or when something that has you stumped finally clicks. The new book smell and the scent of old books. The touch of supple leather. The scent of a woman's hair. The touch of my wife's hand on my face when she thinks I am asleep. I could go on, but these are the things that immediately come to mind.edited to add oh yeah, I forgot, I am thankful God made peanut butter and jelly samiches. . . damion75 0 #35 April 28, 2004 I love the fresh feeling of a new morning, really early when the sun is just coming up over the lake and I can forget that I have already been working for three hours... I love it when all the communications systems just work and finding out stuff is easy! I love knowing that I only have 9 days before I get to jump again after four months away... Edited because I forgot to say: I love it when there is good coffee in the machine rather than junk!*************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. SarahC07 0 #38 April 28, 2004 ... COMPLETE silence, the feeling you get after studying your ass off for a exam and then doing FANTASTIC on the exam, lightining/thunder/wind (assuming no damage is done), the band- Rascal Flatts, people that are just amusing to watch, cheetos (the flamin hot ones), and being able to just not care ... sometimes...
