Need Demo team Name

We need a name for our demo team and don't want to step on anyone's toes. Are the names Dixie Skydiving Demonstration Team or Carolina Skydiving Demonstration Team in use at the present time?

Heh, I guess "The Flying Beetles" or "The falling Metallica" or even "The flailing Richard Simmons" doesn't quite have the same ring as "The flying elivi" huh?

Not really sure how it works in Carolina, but what you may want to do is start a DBA. In California, that entails checking with the state to see if anyone is already using the name and running ads in newspapers stating that you'd like to use the name. If nobody is already using the name and if nobody comes forward to protest -- it's yours.

Dixie Land Demonstration Team? Or.....Skydive Demonstration Team of the Carolinas?

There is the Skydive Carolina Parachute Team based out of Skydive Carolina in Chester. Also there is a team called Carolina Skydivers (I am pretty sure thats their name) They jump into Gamecock stadium and other places around the Carolinas.

Thanks, looks like this is going to require some more thought. It would be easy to change the names around a little, but it will be best to eliminate any possible confusion.

Hey cool! I'm from the MB area. I have quite a bit of family in Flo-town. We jump up at the DZ in Clemson. I haven't made it over to Raeford to jump yet... but there were a couple of cloudy weekends we came real close to driving over there.
