tunaplanet 0 #1 April 24, 2004 Ok, pigskin fans. Decided to dedicate this thread for all draft comments. Am I the only one who regards this day as a national holiday? So, let's post all comments in regards to the draft here. I'm going to go on gut instinct here and say the Bolts will not draft Manning. I think they will trade down at the last minute. tunaplanet 0 #2 April 24, 2004 Ok, I'm going out on a limb and predicting Robert Gallery will be picked by the Chargers. Call me crazy. Forty-two
tunaplanet 0 #3 April 24, 2004 Well I am glad they picked Manning. Serves him right for trying to choose who he wants to play for. Brat. Gallery will go to the Raiders barring a trade by Jax. Forty-two
tunaplanet 0 #4 April 24, 2004 Holy Testicle Tuesday! The trade just happened. The swap QBs and San Diego also gets the 3rd round this year and the 1st and 5th round next year. Wow. Giants gave up too much. Rivers may end up being better anyways. Forty-two
FlailingJohn 0 #5 April 24, 2004 A sure hope eli has a number of bad years in new york. I think it shows his maturity compared to his brother peyton. I dont really remeber but did peyton whine when he was drafted by a lowly indianapolis colts? A now have no respect for the manning family and hope the trade with the gaints turn out to be an albatross for eli and the chargers make the best what they got in their trading brat manningI threw my confidence out the airplane door years ago......... tunaplanet 0 #6 April 24, 2004 Peyton did not make any fuss whatsoever when Indy selected him. He was a very good sport about it, despite them having a miserable record at the time. Forty-two

Dagny 0 #9 April 24, 2004 Cool...Will Smith to N'awlines. Good pick, we need a stronger defense. Our offense steps up, but the defense keeps crippling any forward movement. And with two second round picks, I'm hopeful that the next season won't be as abysmal as the last. Not too much to ask, right? And, Vernon Carey to Miami...well, there's one hometown boy who won't have to move very far... Okay, stepping away from the draft until the second round. BikerBabe 0 #10 April 24, 2004 nooooooooooooo!!!!! Big Ben went to Pittsburgh! UGH! Now I will be forced to root for a rival! Well, I hope he kicks ass there and shows all those big school snobs what they passed up. I have a feeling the Eli Mannings and Phillip rivers will be on the sidelines 10 years from now, while Ben Roethlisberger will be leading his team to a superbowl. Go Steelers and Big Ben (shoot me now for rooting for the Steelers...holy god)!Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! n2skdvn 0 #11 April 24, 2004 didn't know you were a n'awlins saints fan dagny......if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN my site
Dagny 0 #12 April 24, 2004 Absolutely! Even though I don't live in N'awlins anymore, I watch the games and wear the jersey (87 - Joe Horn!) and support my boys back home! Used to be that the sports bars wouldn't play the games for me, but I found a New Orleans bar that tunes ALL the tvs to the Saints and life is good again. Love to see 'em play a good game, especially if they're taking down the Falcons (or the Bucs!) . And if it takes another voodoo ritual to get 'em back into the playoffs again, I say bring on the priestess with the snake and the liquor! Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

lawrocket 3 #14 April 25, 2004 Why the hell did the Chiefs take a tight end in the second round? I love my Raiders' picks. A tackle and a center/guard/long snapper in the first two rounds are fine additions. On to the most important news, Andre Sommersell of Colorado State is 2004's "Mr. Irrelevant." Drafted Number 255 in the year's draft by my beloved Raiders, Sommersell will be jetted to my homeland, Orange County, California, for a week of festivities and charity work. Hopefully they'll have another Heisman-Lowsman dinner this year. For any of you who are unaware of "Mr. Irrelevant" see http://www.irrelevantweek.com/ My wife is hotter than your wife.
