Favorite Jimmy Buffet song?

Recommended Posts

Quote

So when are the DZ.comers going to meet up for a Buffett concert?

:D I might be going to one in WI, but I'll gladly travel about the midwest to hear him!

And, Stacy, I love his version of it! Just got it....never heard it before....very cool!

A Pirate Looks at 40....it's the first song I ever saw him perform in person...and it's been the first song he's performed a couple of times since then that I've seen him perform. Occasionally he shows up at Orlando Citywalk and plays at Margaritaville unannounced....fortunately, I have a bit of insight as to when that could be... :D

oh lord, so many incredible songs.

One Particular Harbor and Tin Cup Chalice have always been two of my favorites.

So many of his songs just bring out the good feelings. You can't help but smile, like Last Mango in Paris, followed by La Vie Dansante

and two less known songs that always stuck a cord with me - Last Man Standing, and Schoolboy Heart

...and too many more to even read, let alone list.

Forget Shakespeare, Buffett is the bard.

So many that have already been mentioned, so I'll mention a few others:

Banana Republic (I was raised a Parakeet and often refused to go to sleep until this song played if Dad was playing the Changes in Latitudes album)

A1A

Bob Robert's Society Band

Man, every one of his songs is awesome. I've only seen him in concert about 3 times, though. :( I feel like such a failure as a Parrothead.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Fins, Boat Drinks, Last Mango in Paris, or Gypsies in the Palace. Those are some more great ones!!! If you're able to dig back a bit try to find Ace. It's one of his older songs (a little more country flair and I hate country), but still a great song.

EXCUSE ME! You better share that insight with me, Mr, or you will NEVER have a working blender again! Give me fair warning and I'M THERE!

I'm not a huge fan (by that I mean I like what I've heard but only have limited exposure to his songs). But Fruitcakes is one of my favorite songs. It played all the time at the Muff Bro tent when I went to Quincy for the 1st time (94 I think) and to me that song is a very strong reminder of that boogie! :)

Uh oh....I have something in common with Remi. I'm scared. Someone hold me.

Isn't it funny how your favorite Jimmy Buffet song changes on a daily basis? I'm not sharing my new favorite with you people! :o
