Ncrowe 0 #26 April 24, 2004 What about pork ribs There's Yankee bar-b-q and then there's southern bar-b-q. The Yankee stuff has that vinegar sauce and although can be pretty tasty I do prefer good ole tomato based beef bar-b-q but then again i'm a texan so i'm biased. I'm not saying anything else about TJ as I prefer not to incriminate myself further "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! "
Vance 0 #27 April 24, 2004 A cool place to stay in SD is Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. Sleeping over the ocean on a famous pier...really cool. Fish tacos = Rubio's, 'nuf said. Sushi = the absolute best is Harney Sushi in Old Town. Great sushi, great atmosphere, it's really the only place is SD that I ever go to for sushi anymore. Good Hawaiian Plate Lunch = Da Kines in Pacific Beach, ono kine grinds brah! (Great Food!) The Hotel Del is cool, but dealing with going back and forth over the bridge to get into SD and back can be a pain occassionally. Have a great time! freeflir29 0 #28 April 24, 2004 Got to this thread late......if no one has mentioned it the Gas Lamp Hilton is nice. The beds there are so comfy the last thing I wanted to do at 0 dark 30 was get out of it. Right across the street is the "Rockin Baja Lobster." For about $17 they bring you out a bucket with a steak, chicken breast, several HUGE shrimp, and three rock lobster tails. DAMN good stuff! Lots of great bars and nice female scenery! San Diego is a KICK ASS place to visit but I'm not sure I want to live there.
