DaGimp 0 #1 April 14, 2004 So there I was, this morning freezing my ass off thinking this was gona be another birgade run. Then a three car onterage comes up with police escorts. And who gets out...Tiger Woods, in full Army PT uniform with a baseball cap. He actually ran about 2 miles with us, we had to go easy on him, then he ate breakfast with some of the soldiers, in BDU's and Nike shoes. I know that he was just tryin to look good for the soldiers but him being out of uniform just looked funny. He looks old too!!"Professor of Pimpology"~~~Bolas
Pammi 0 #2 April 14, 2004 I'd read that he was going to be there for a week, that his dad was a Green Beret so he wanted the experience or some such. I doubt it'll be the same experience any of you had! Pammi
Aviatrr 0 #3 April 14, 2004 Ok...now is it just me, or does anybody else think that is lame as hell? He's just trying to get press coverage I'm sure.. Mike
Casch 0 #4 April 14, 2004 I do think it's pretty lame. If he expects to experience anything close to what his dad experienced, well...he won't. He probably thinks that this will make him look good to all the prissy little golf losers And to those of you that golf, well...you're only still cool because you skydive
Kramer 0 #5 April 14, 2004 QuoteOk...now is it just me, or does anybody else think that is lame as hell? He's just trying to get press coverage I'm sure.. Mike He said he's wanted to do this his whole life, and that if he wasn't so good at golf, he'd probably be in the special ops anyway. I think it's kinda cool. I mean...it's not like there are dozens of cameras around (or are there?) so I doubt it's for the press coverage. Pretty tight that you got to run with him, Gimp. StevePhelps 0 #6 April 14, 2004 Why make a big deal of it? Even if it were a press op (I doubt it) -- more likely he wanted to make a contact with his dad. I was in SF and so is my son, I'd love to make a run (better keep it at 2 miles or less) with him! Better yet if MY dad (passed away 04/15/85) could be there too! He dropped out of Marine Corps boot after 11 days. Former heavyweight champion? Yeah, he's not that tough. And I golf. I'm not cool because I skydive. I'm not cool, period. Raefordite 0 #8 April 14, 2004 I heard Tiger spent a little tunnel time with the Golden Knights and they had hoped for a tandem today (poor weather). The GK's approached Tiger. Tiger came to Fort Bragg to show support to the military.

DALAILAMA 0 #15 April 14, 2004 The tandem didn't go off due to poor weather, however he is comming out in the morning for another attempt. The idea for the trip was not his, it was his fathers. He even asked for no media at the event. His father is in poor health and he wanted his son to experience some of the things that he did being a Special Forces soldier in Vietnam. Being this close to Augusta and having time off after the Masters, this was the perfect opporitunity. I honestly hate golf and have no interest in it or it's participants, but it is just cool getting to meet him. I am going to be one of the videographers on the jump and hopefully get some good shots for my dad."Dropzone.com, where uneducated people measuring penises, has become an art form"
