freeflir29 0 #9 April 13, 2004 I hate Vegas. Everything is overpriced and the strip is just annoying to me. Of course, I'm not much of a gambler. A few weeks ago I spent 20 minutes or so in the Vegas airport. I went down to the smoking area and my friend played $1 slots. By the time I got back from smoking he had won $500. He came up and told me......giddy as a school girl. I got in line to get my next boarding pass.....he ran back to the slots. About 30 seconds after I walked over there he hit for another $320. So......that was an $800 profit in 20 minutes. If I could do that once per week I'd be good!
lizzieb 0 #10 April 13, 2004 wow! $800 on airport slots is amazing... i try not to play slots if i can help it...i almost always lose, and when i win, i give it right back...

PhillyKev 0 #12 April 13, 2004 Vegas is the happiest place on earth. I'm definitely taking a long weekend out there very shortly. $190 round trip. THANK YOU SOUTHWEST Airlines.
freeflir29 0 #13 April 13, 2004 QuoteTHANK YOU SOUTHWEST Airlines. I wonder if you will be saying that after 5+ hours in a dirty smelly aircraft with the fat roll from the person next to you in your lap. Their employees are generally VERY nice though and they have a fairly high percentage of hottie flight attendants.
jtval 0 #14 April 13, 2004 Im with ya there. but I live here so the strip is just dull to me. theres more to vegas then that stuff ( not much more, but theres more)My photos My Videos

They've had a monopoly here for so long, it's been the most expensive origination/arrival point in the country for years. SW opens up their terminal and BLAMMO....fares dropped like a rock across the board.

billo 0 #17 April 14, 2004 VEGAS BABY, VEGAS!!! is right!!!!! i was just out there for the first time the weekend of the 1st and it was AWESOME!!! it was 4 days, 3 nights, and only 8 hours of sleep of some of the craziest partying I have ever seen! tried to hit as many BJ tables as possible at IP, luxor, MGM, slots-o-fun, sarhra, etc. got stuck in the elevator at stratosphere for nearly an hour...drank enough free booze non-stop that i would have broken even, if just from that! i was the only one of 12 folks that was up any cash at the end of the weekend.... GOOD LUCK TO YA!!!! (and don't forget the -1,0,+1 too!)

If you have, you haven't played craps with me before, have you? Cuz if you had you'd be a gambler and you wouldn't hate Vegas. You might still be annoyed with the Strip, but that'd be okay cuz you'd be playing craps at Binion's - which ain't on the Strip (although Glitter Gulch is right across the street if you felt the need to ogle topless women when the tables are cold). Vegas rocks. It's good that I don't live near it any longer.

wingnut 0 #22 April 14, 2004 Quotealthough Glitter Gulch is right across the street if you felt the need to ogle topless women when the tables are cold). bytch, i am apuled at your lack of knowlage.... binions is on the same side of the "street" as gliter gulch.. i stayed at the las vegas club hotel and casino right next to it for a month once for work... that "trip" rocked (no i never did go into GG) and as i herd at the luck boogie in mesquite, binions closed down.. something about taxes or something and tehy took alot of money and they didn't have enough to cover the tables and such so it had to shut down......... and i'm with ya... i like the the old strip myself..... much more history and not as much glitz... butt he tables are just as good or even better..... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
