I figured 15 minutes to type up and print out my letter of resignation (on their computers), and I gave myself 10 minutes to clean out my desk. I got the call offering me the job I wanted. I accepted, and went and told my old manager. I gave him a week. Then, later that day, he completely went off on me because he broke a leasing law (bigtime problem!) and I pointed it out (tactfully!) and he completely blew up and was screaming at me. I realized I didn't have to take that shit anymore, because I had somewhere new to go, so I called my new job and asked if I could start on monday. they said the sooner the better. So, I waited til the end of the day, since I didn't need any more psycho-boss tirades, and handed him my keys and told him that the new job called and needed me for some budget stuff that next monday, so I was going to have to leave early, and thanks, buh-bye. I waited til they had a big job to do and I stopped going. I they called me two days later to see if I was Ok. Then, turns out they liked me so much they offered me my job back a year later when they heard that I wasnt working anywhere (they knew my mum). Turned out nicely I thought!
