Pro track problems

Has anyone experienced this with a protrack? it works fine in freefall, beeps etc but then i check the logbook and sometimes it just doesn't record the jump but other times it will??

I did a hop and pop from 13k yesterday and pulled right out the door. My pro-track didn't log the jump at all.

im sure the thing needs to sense something like 7 seconds of freefall speeds before it starts to log the jump

I think I remember reading in the manual that it has to reach a speed of 13m/sec to count as a jump unless you put it into Slow mode.

Mention the problem to Larsen and Brusgaard the manufacturers. They are very customer friendly and fast to solve the problem

I've made only ~30 jumps with a ProTrack. The only one that it didn't record was a hop-n-pop where I deployed pretty quickly on exit.

My Altitrack does the same thing. No jump recorded on a hop and pop.

That is a known problem if you have less than 5 sec delay.

I have switched to Neptune and I'm happy with that.

If you want the altitrack (don't know about the protrack) to record hop and pops, put it in student mode.

I always have it in student mode (hop and pops and normal jumps) and it records all jumps. Only drawback is that if for any reason you have to ride the airplane down and the plane does this fast, it can log a jump.

How old are the batteries? Have seen weak batteries give flaky results. Try removing the batteries and cleaning the contact surfaces of the batteries and the device. If new batteries don't solve it, get in touch with L&B. As mentioned above, their service is the best. Good Luck
