Zinger 0 #27 March 25, 2004 Own 9 right now, Had horses and ponies my whole life. If I'm in a loud/crazy mood I'll take one of my stallion's out for a scream. Most people have no idea how loud a stud singing love songs to a mare can be.. If I want to sneak around with the wild life I have a Appy mare that is so quiet we have stalked ourselves into the middle of deer herds and flocks of wild turkey. steve1 5 #28 March 25, 2004 I had a big Clydesdale for a while. I used to skid house logs and firewood with him. Wonderful animal. Just like a big dog. There were times when I'd have him on steeper ground, skidding logs. Once in a while he'd get all tangled up, but never threw a fit. He'd just be standing there waiting for me to come get him out of trouble. We'd stop to eat lunch and he'd stick his huge head in the cab of our truck with us. He wanted some lunch too. skybytch 273 #31 March 25, 2004 Used to. We lived on a ranch when I was growing up so it was kinda expected. Was loads of fun to take the day off school and ride on the twice-yearly round-ups. Those were the only times I bothered with a saddle; was way more fun to ride bareback. First horse was "Red" - thoroughbred/quarter mix IIRC. Second horse was "Bo" - I forget what breed(s) he was. I've had my horse for nearly 10 years now.
