are those clouds you are going through?

my first jump of the year (today) was through a cloud. ugh. hop-n-popped from 5500, and pulled @ 4K. cloud level? = 4K-2.5K ... scary[:/];):)

Exit at 5500 and pulling at 4k? That's a "hop and pop"?

Don't take this as a dig. Seems to me that considering....clouds from 4000-2500 feet and you're dumping in 'em????? AND you haven't jumped since?????

Sounds like your DZO and the DZ training staff need to re-think its' safety standards. Sheesh.

Do you guys have a coaching program in place?

Just curious.

no no no... relax... i was going for the dramatic... it was a patchy day or intermitent clouds and i just caught the ass end of the hole through the clouds. and 5000 for me is damn near a clear and pull at 40 jumps... would you rather me be more aggressive? all was well... thanks for the concern though! :)

Did that once. Aggiedave and I jumped with a pretty good hole below us. By they time we pulled clouds had completely covered the ground. We both had to fly through a pretty thick cloud with absolutely no visibility. Luckily, it wasn't too thick, but yes, scary. Definitely don't want to repeat anything like that.

Tie the camera by a lanyard to your chest strap. Tuck it down in your jump suit during freefall. Make the lanyard long enough to point it where you want under canopy. That way, if you drop it, it stays attached to you.

I'm jealous. big time. I'm busy taking industry shit downhill and am getting about as bent as I could possibly be. I need to clear my head with sum jumpin.... &*)^)(^&*()*#&$()*&#_)$*(W()_)(#*)_$&()#*(&

beautiful pix, said whooaaa at those skies...

Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky
