freeflygoddess 0 #1 March 24, 2004 ...people who gripe about their weather, and then get mad at those of us who live in such pretty places? I mean we can't help that they want to live in cold rainey places. It isn't our fault. They can always move or come and vist to get their jumps in. Why is it when we have endless blues skies, and warm packing weather, they get all pissy and want to beat us up? Why? I mean we do have our share of weather holds and weather days. Do we cry and complain when we can cook our dinners in our cars while we are jumping during the summer? I think the only thing we actually complain about are our dust devils, but who wouldn't? They are evil...Evil very very very very Evil, I tell ya!

Amazon 7 #6 March 24, 2004 I am working so it really doesn't matter to me... and when I got back into the sport.. I realized that jumping in Seattle was not going to be real easy in the winter.. so I travel... but we do have SOME advantages up here.. REALLLY pretty Scenery... so when it does clear.. there is unparalled beauty all around us... the Sound.. the mountains.. and the air is C L E A N .. it amazes me just how NASTY the air is in other poarts of the country... that ugly brown layer of YUCK that passes for air. In the Pacific NorthWET we have to take it on FAITH that our air exists.. since we cant see what we are breathing
 gmanpilot 0 #7 March 24, 2004 QuoteI think the only thing we actually complain about are our dust devils, but who wouldn't? The other thing in addition are the summers. When the weather is nice, it is unparalleld. Highs from the mid 70's to the mid 80's and low humidity. Not like some other places around the country where it is like living in a sauna, or in a desert or in a smog basin (did I hit the right areas???) Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
