ACMESkydiver 0 #1 March 22, 2004 Last 2 jumps I was on something scary happened to someone I was in the plane with...different stuff, but geeesh... -So if it happens again, am I cursed? Is everyone that jumps with me hosed? Or am I lucky? Am I blessed because none of the sh*t happened to me?? What are the odds of something screwed up happening 3 times in a row, right? Awright, who has the cahonas to jump with me on Wednesday??? -I'm not gonna tell the load A DAMN THING and we'll just see how things play out... But what if something does happen? Would that freak you out? Has the law of averages ever f'd with your head before? ACMESkydiver 0 #7 March 22, 2004 Well...I watched a cut-away below me...WEIRD lookin' cut-away...riser under the guys arm somehow?? Bad body position on deploy. Craziest lookin' thing. The guy was cool as a cucumber on the ground. No problem, uneventful landing... Then I followed a friend in an ambulance to the ER... Low turn, her own error she stated, and thank God she's one tough cookie. Nothing broke, just a lot of pain. -And TurtleSpeed cheered her up via cell phone as she was laying flat on her back in the back o' my truck on the way back from the hospital. Just nutty stuff. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Casie 0 #10 March 22, 2004 That's an interesting thought. Let's see, I mountain bike ride at least 3 times a week. I've been going on the same route for 1 1/2 years. Last Sunday was my first (BEER) wipe out......BUT it doesn't stop there. I freak'n wiped out again in a different place yesterday.............eeeeerrrrrrrrr WTF! I'd say I'm lucky since nothing got broken & I laughed about it!~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts!

How 'bout we make a deal then...I'll be responsible for what you do in the air, and you be responsible for what I do on the ground...and we'll see who ends up paying more attorney fees! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. happythoughts 0 #13 March 22, 2004 Last weekend, I am in the base, but I am front-float on the trail plane. It is an 8-way base. There is only 3 of them when I show up and some bonehead is right in front of me. I come up and politely push him to the right and take my slot. Then he takes his slot...in the base to my right. Hope you're up to this, I goof up a lot.

sdctlc 0 #16 March 22, 2004 I think your cursed. I had a bad feeling yesterday and went on one jump at the end of the day over a Blue Skies.... I had to do a bunch of "GRW" yesterday and did not get out to the DZ until about 4pm. Anyway, went up with that little feeling still going, jumped, fun zoo load with two new A-license holders. Still had the feeling so pitched a bit higher and felt the bag come off my back twisting, first thing out of my mouth before the canopy was out of the bag all the way was "SHIT, I THINK THIS IS ACME's FAULT!! WHY ME, WHHHHYYY ME!!!!" The long and short of it is that I had a bunch of twists. I was luckey that my SAM was flying straight so I had some time to kick and kick and kick. Took a long time and some panting and watching my alti to get out but finally did kick out few hundres feet above my decision altitude. Your damn curse crossed over the sound no doubt about it, but at least it was diluted some and I was able to overcome the evil and not have to chop.... BUT, I will be happy to try and risk the odds about jumping on Wed... Still not sure on my Schedule yet for work though.... Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" chaoskitty 0 #18 March 22, 2004 Last year, we had an engine out in our turbine on Saturday, and the cessna broke down shortly after takeoff on Sunday. 2 aircraft emergenices in the same weekend, and I was the only one on both loads. I dont think its you. I think its static electricity.

MWAHAHHAAAAA!!!! -If it makes ya feel better Scotty, I deployed before being as stable as I shoulda, looked above me...nothin'...(It was behind me )...line twists...kickin' winds...and I yelled "Damn ME!!! DAMN CURSED ME!!! DAMN ACME!!!" but I made it back to the landing area and had a perfect crosswind landing on which I knelt down just for a second. -Then the proverbial 'shit' hit the fan with my friend... Amazon 7 #20 March 22, 2004 Quotebut I made it back to the landing area and had a perfect crosswind landing on which I knelt down just for a second. I have seen those knee landings of your... you gotta stop that chit.. You must have VERY STRONG KNEES. Standups are a LOT more healthy on your body... and if you cant do one of those.. you can use your rather well endowed backside like I do... when I have to
ACMESkydiver 0 #21 March 22, 2004 Working on it... I will never have another sliding knee landing again! That's it!!! Naw this one was cool...NOT a sliding knee landing. I just knelt down from forward momentum instead of taking a lil' step...next time one step would cure it. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. happythoughts 0 #22 March 22, 2004 There is a story about these two guys. They haven't seen each other in a while and one says, "You know, you seem really laid back and calm. What is your secret?" "Well, my business was failing. I worried so much that it was ruining my health. I never had a moments peace. So I hired this guy to worry for me." "Really, is it expensive?" "About $1500 a week." "How can you afford to pay him?" "I can't, but that's his problem."
ACMESkydiver 0 #23 March 22, 2004 Ha haa...I figured it out. It's because I'm a BITCH! That's it. That's why shit happens to everyone else on the plane and not me!!! Doesn't anyone watch movies?
