mr2mk1g 10 #11 March 23, 2004 Cheers - thats the shot. Couldnt cut and paste it as I have no imaging software at work and the BMP windows wanted to save it as was far too big. A snip from the text with it reads: QuoteA British soldier runs in flames from a petrol bomb thrown during a demonstration by hundreds of youths protesting in the southern Iraq city of Basra at the killing of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. As the protest evolved into violence, demonstrators were heard to chant, “Yes, yes to Yassin. No, no to America, Britain and Israel.” Some 14 British soldiers were injured. Tonto 1 #16 March 23, 2004 Mmm. What happened to "drop and roll" or do they teach the "run and fuel the flames with O2" these days? tIt's the year of the Pig.
mr2mk1g 10 #17 March 23, 2004 I don't see dropping and rolling as the best thing for a flaming helmet. He's rightly dealing with the flames closest to his face (on the helmet) before those on his clothes which would require him to drop and roll. Probably the best course of action for the helmet is to take it off... I guess while doing that if you run forwards you fan the flames away from the face although that has to be a moot point. He could also be attempting to remove himself from the source of ignition or a danger area.
