Sheenster303 0 #1 March 19, 2004 Have you ever been looking for a song before, but you couldn't remember the name of it or who sings it? I've had that problem for the past 2 weeks trying to find this one song! I finally found it tonight! All I could remember was that I had heard it when I made my first skydive. I heard it going to the dropzone, while I was at the dropzone and on the way home. I've heard it several times on the radio and I would instantly go back to thinking about skydiving. I love that song just because of the connection with it and skydiving. It's "The Boys of Summer" by The Ataris. Anybody ever heard that song? I really like it! So here's the question.......is there one song that you hear that makes you think of being up in the sky? I know that when I hear that song I get this awesome feeling. What song gives you that feeling when you hear it?I'm so funny I crack my head open! P.M.S. #
brits17 0 #2 March 19, 2004 Hehe, when the 3 Doors Down song Kryptonite came out, I had just started jumping and so the corelation still sticks. Higher by Creed too. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
bergh 0 #3 March 19, 2004 On my first jump video they used Radar Love - Golden Earing ... Always reminds me of skydiving.... Another funny thing I noticed since I started jumping is that when ever I hear an aircraft or helicopter I look up ....._______________________________________ You are unique, just like everybody else ... peacefuljeffrey 0 #5 March 19, 2004 Willie T., recently of Skydive SoBe and now back on Long Island, had been using this new-ish U2 song on his videos and I had not ever heard it before (I don't have any U2 albums more recent than Achtung Baby, actually). It has lyrics something like, "I feel like I could fly... elevate my soul..." something like that. It's a high-energy fast-paced song and it makes me think of skydiving more than any other I can think of. I have to find out the name of it and the album that it's on so I can get a copy. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" Sheenster303 0 #6 March 19, 2004 At least you know who sings your song! I've been in the dark with mine for awhile now! I wish you the best of luck in finding the song. It feels sooo good when you do find it though. Now I think I'm going to be playing it too much and get sick of it. I'm so funny I crack my head open! Shotgun 1 #7 March 19, 2004 Well, this isn't very original of me, but any of the songs on the "Chronicle III" video now make me think of being up in the sky... especially "I Choose" by the Offspring and "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" by Primus. QuoteNow Wynona took her big brown beaver, And she stuck him up in the air... Also, "Learning to Fly" by Pink Floyd. That was playing on the radio a lot when I first started jumping. Unstable 9 #8 March 19, 2004 I get that Tingly "got to jump" feeling whenever I hear "Bohemian Rapsody" - I guess the only reason I can think of is during the time I was working on my student progression, we had a big stereo system out at the DZ that played that song, and it seems like I heard it between every load......=========Shaun ==========

You're lucky! Lately, we've been having to listen to the same dance/rave/something-or-other mixes over and over at my DZ. I tried to sneak a mix of my own (mostly rock) into the CD changer and before it had finished playing the dance stuff had been put back on. Really, I can't think of music less appropriate to skydiving than what we've been hearing. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
