turtlespeed 226 #3 March 18, 2004 Only when I log on at the DZ. Otherwise it is discussions about safety and beer.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
Nightingale 0 #4 March 18, 2004 I don't bring it up. But I'm happy to have a friendly, healthy debate if someone else does, provided they stick to the issue and refrain from personal attacks or generalizations.
DrunkMonkey 0 #5 March 18, 2004 No, because of the overzealous born-again Xians who would never stop if we got them started. I prefer to enjoy my jumps and later my beer buzz without getting told I'm going to hell. Politics--why discuss that when you can discuss sex?

rehmwa 2 #11 March 18, 2004 No - too many wackos on those subjects. I'd much rather do it with all you wackos here than in person with someone who might start crying (has happened) or take a swing (not yet) or get all bent about it. For me, neither politics nor religion is very important so it's mostly a source of amusement. But you won't know that about the person standing next to you until it's too late. ... nacmacfeegle 0 #12 March 18, 2004 Sunday should have had a capital S, especially in Utah, and the rogue apostrophe in mormon's shouldn't be there. GARYC24 3 #16 March 18, 2004 I'm not sure about "discussing it", probably "yes" But definitely never argue, debate about it. But I do share with numerous "skydivers" at dropzone(s) about my church activities, churches I have visited on the way to dz, churches they go to. One would be very surprise who attends church on a regular basis, of whom I know at dz's! Gary Calhoun

ChasingBlueSky 0 #19 March 18, 2004 Yup, esp on weather holds that last the entire weekend. This is after hours upon hours of talking about jumping. In the summer we head to the DZ Friday night and stay until Sunset Sunday night regardless of the weather - eventually it comes up....as do a thousand other topics. When we are jumping? Never...too busy catching a breeze._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... I dont want any more women, and they cant resist my debating skills lmao (you'd have to imagine the scene, the new guy from Quebec at the Alberta DZ talking about Separatism with 10 locals! lmao)Remster
caress 0 #21 March 18, 2004 IMHO, the DZ is for fun, not arguing (which is where those subjects end up) There is always a nearby watering hole to go to for that. No one else at the DZ wants to overhear discussions of that nature either!-Caress I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.
