As for right now I am sick of the b/s involved with dating (maybe just a little bitter after two years of being messed with). I know I'll be happy what ever happens, that's all that counts right? Heather You would be correct about being happy is all that matters. I am happy being single but I am also tired of it. I still enjoy the things that I do with my friends, but being the odd man out when we all go out and they have their girlfriends gets to me. I get over it after a while. drakeshelbydrakeshelby

CanuckInUSA 0 #191 March 9, 2004 QuoteI guess that I am one of those guys that is destine to be single. I too am single and while I still do hold out some hope (albeit very slim), I have come to grips with my situation. You know there are pros and cons to being single and being attached. But I'd much rather be single than be in a bad relationship/marriage and being a skydiver sure doesn't help dating whuffos (been there, done that). But I will NOT stop jumping so that I can spend my weekends at the mall with some whuffo. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
flyangel2 2 #192 March 9, 2004 QuoteQuoteI am not high maintence Every time I hear a chick say that, I think "yeah right". What do you think is high maintenance? Looks or life style? I can be dressed and shower and out the door in 20 mins. I've meet Heather, she doesn't seem to be the type that is high maintenance. Life Style maintenance. There are a few people that post here that can back me up when I say I live a simple life style. I don't drive a fancy car, and I don't live in a fancy house. Guys that drive fancy cars and live in a fancy house don't impress me. It's what's inside that counts. weegegirl 2 #197 March 9, 2004 Quoteok weegegirl, what does it take to get a skydiving babe? drakeshelby Ah, Kevin.... What advice can I give here? All I can say is don't look for her, just let it happen. Funny enough, I met my flyboy here on dz.com. He sent me the sweetest PM in the world. I'm not even sure there was much intent behind it, but for some reason we just "clicked" and the rest is history. Good things come to good people in all good time. So keep your head high and go have fun. It will happen. can tell you that a lot of it has to do with confidence and attitude. Nobody is going to want to hang out with someone who is down in the dumps all the time. So cheer up, kiddo!

happythoughts 0 #199 March 9, 2004 QuoteLooking desperate and complaining about being single isn't going to help you. Begging doesn't work either. I don't have any luck in other parts of my life, why should skydiving girls be different? The only thing in my favor is the growing popularity of all these other guys being gay. If I am the last straight guy, I may get lucky. That's my current plan.
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #200 March 9, 2004 Women can be not looking to meet someone and get so many men that they don't know what to do with them, but it is not the same for men. A man doesn't have to necessarily be "looking", but if he meets someone that interests him, then he really needs to take some steps to get to know her better. However, too many men are not picky enough with the women that they pursue. When a man throws himself at every available woman that he sees...that is a complete turn-off. However, if a man is being aggressive with letting me know that he is interested in me and only me (and if I have a connection with him), then I definitely want to get to know him better, too. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with being single. I don't understand why people are so upset when they are single. It completely turns me off to hear people (some of my female friends, even...yuck) freaking out about being alone. Why not have fun and spend me time with your family, friends and pursue new hobbies? Be happy and free and LIVE your lives to the fullest. Travel, explore and make yourselves happy. YOU are in charge of your own happiness. If I am unhappy, I only have myself to blame. Lol...I like to entertain myself. About Heather ~ She is what men would call a "kick-ass woman", and she is NOT high-maintenance. Melstarr ~ You and your honey are a beautiful couple. See everyone, blissful relationships CAN happen.
