skymut 0 #1 August 23, 2002 And now, for something completely different... Hey, the Schwan's delivery guy showed up with some ice cream tonight. It got me to wondering what everyone's favorites might be. For the over-the-counter variety, I'd have to go with Mint Chocolate Chip. Then, there was this little ice cream shop that made their own, in-house. They had a flavor called Almond Joy, just like the candy bar. Rich vanilla with coconut, and bits of almond and chocolate...make you wanna slap your mama it was so good. But you just can't beat any homemade variety...the absolute best. I think I'll have another scoop... Matt A well-informed person is somebody who has the same views and opinions as yours.

Michele 1 #4 August 23, 2002 Ah, finally a topic I know something about! Lessee.....in no particular order, and depending on my mood... Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey - banana ice cream and dark chocolate chunks... B&J's Cherry Garcia - cherry ice cream, cherries and chocolate chunk... 31 Flavors Jamoca Almond Fudge... Haagen Daz' Rum Raisin... And when I am in a seriously decadent mood (and willing to let my hips reflect it)...a hot fudge sundae, two scoops - coffee and French Vanilla, with lots of hot fudge and cherries and whipped cream.... Expensive chocolate and a good wine would be really perfect right now...eh, Lisa? Ciels and Pinks- Michele PS...and the one I refuse to eat? Spumoni! Those nasty little jellied candied fruit pieces just remind me of dead Christmas cakes, you know? hooked 0 #7 August 23, 2002 For a specialty, gotta go with Cold Stone Creamery and have cheesecake frozen yogurt with coconut and macadamia nuts mixed in! Or, I'm with the rest of you and love Chocolate Chip Mint. If you don't have Cold Stone Creamery stores near you, you are missing out! You pick the flavor and you pick what you want mixed into it, yummy! J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. seedy 0 #18 August 23, 2002 A topic near and dear to my heart. I love ice cream. I have three ice cream recipe books and three ice cream freezers. I make the stuff all summer long. I have a great Rum Raisin recipe, but my favorite homemade flavor is fresh peach (but only if the peaches are nice and sweet). I like Schwan's Peaches N' Cream. I intend to live forever -- so far, so good.
scottbre 0 #19 August 23, 2002 Well along the regular styles of ice cream, I like mint chocolate chip, and cookies n' cream. Specialty ice creams I like: Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey and Banana Split And I can't remember the brand name of this one, but it's called New York Strawberry cheesecake. SkymonkeyONE 4 #22 August 23, 2002 Schwans.....LOL! We have them come by. The last one was a complete perv and I didn't trust him as far as I could see him. I told him not to come around anymore if he couldn't keep his visits "business only". I seriously thought he was hitting on my wife and was casing our house. Lucky for him, he quit after about two months. What a shitbird. That being said, they do have some good chow on the truck and we spend quite a bit with them. As for ice cream, I am a sherbert fan (sorbet for you uppity fruitcakes) and really like lime. Chuck
pilotdave 0 #23 August 23, 2002 QuoteCold Stone Creamery Been there once. Oooooh man that was good stuff. I had coffee ice cream with hot fudge, caramel, and brownie mixed in. jfields 0 #25 August 23, 2002 This conversation is making me hungry. And that is a bad thing, since there is a Ben & Jerry's 50 yards down the street from my office. Doh! I can sense a run there today. I have ice cream on the brain now.
