so.. what should i do?

Recommended Posts

welp, i spent my last dollar yesterday, my credit card company is harassing my parents to no end (my phone is shut off due to not paying the phone bill), my bank wants to talk to me, rent is due in a couple weeks, there are absolutely no jobs in this area, oh, and i have a week's supply of ramen noodles left. not to mention the electricity bill which i havent paid, or gas. how much more screwed can i possibly get. this is all thanks to a wonderful company called Teri loans, based in boston. way back in january, i filled out an application for a 15,000 dollar loan, and was approved. i figured, cool, it'll be here in 4-5 days. thats what they say, anyway. well. its now mid march and i still havent gotten anything, and i'm beyond screwed, not to mention a little hungry. All that matters to me in this life right now is skydiving, my rig, and my life. in that order. i think. i'd rather sell my car then my rig. but anyway, i suppose with this many people on the site, some people have to have been in this situation. what did you do? (by the way i'm going to westwood college of aviation in houston, texas)

i did. they said its being "reviewed" there's nothing else i can do at this point. i did have quite a bit of money saved up, that's how i've gotten this far. but i've spent my entire life savings on rent and all that stuff, plus skydiving. i was just always figuring the loan was gonna be here tomorrow or the day after, thats what they keep telling me, even now! its some serious, seriously FUCKED up bullshit. i'm starting to see my dreams go down in flames at this point. :|

Can you try to get a job as a waiter at night or something like that? Instant cash with the tips and all...at least for gas or incidentals. I would call the gas, power , companies, etc and explain the situation. Tell them that you are financially strapped and see if they are willing to make payment arrangements or see if they will give you an extension.

"reviewed"? Did you sign a contract for it yet? If not, I doubt you're going to see a cent with your other credit problems.

Options are:

Move in with parents.
Move in with a friend.
Take a crappy job at McDonalds or Taco Bell to get by until something better comes along.

Go take a walk man... get away from the computer for a while. It's a nice night out go outside and just accept that things will work out.

Come back later and sleep. It's easier to feel better after some rest.

Something will work out. You've got lots of friends so you won't ever be stranded.

Bye for now. Go on get out of here :)

Get in touch w/ "Consumer Credit Counseling" Services (aka CCC). Its one of the very few legitimate credit counseling companies left (you don't pay them - the creditors do). They saved my ass but you HAVE to stick to the plan they set up for you...and get ready to cut up all the credit cards.

I've been in your position and it totally sucks! Save yourself while you're still young. I had the worst credit on the face of the earth but managed to clean it up fairly quickly and now own a home in So Cal.

Good luck! Gotta' go Survivor is on!
