peacefuljeffrey 0 #1 March 13, 2004 I used to be a huge fan of The Simpsons, but I feel that since around 1997 or so they have stopped being nearly as funny as they were in like 1993/94, around the Mr. Plow episode and others. Then along came The Family Guy, and it was like tripping it was so funny! I bought the season 1 & 2 DVDs, but haven't even felt the need to buy Simpsons DVDs at this point. Stewie is about the best TV character since Ralph Kramden. Which series do you think is funnier, on the whole? --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... FrogNog 1 #2 March 13, 2004 I haven't seen enough of the Family Guy to make a decision about that, but the father in Family Guy looks like he has a scrotum on his chin. His older son is even worse. I love the way the Simpsons are halfway plausible for the most part. They make jokes, but they're funny because they're almost all true to some degree. What I saw on half an episode of the Family guy was more stereotypical jokes, which are funny but they're more joke humor than real life humor. -=-=-=-=- Pull. PhillyKev 0 #6 March 13, 2004 I'll always love the Simpsons, and it's been a lot better lately, though it did slack off there for a couple years. Family guy is also hilarious. Futurama is right up there, too.

Jimbo 0 #8 March 13, 2004 I chose Family Guy, Simpsons is still a favorite of mine, but seems to have slipped in the past few years. Kevin mentioned Futurama - that's way up there, too - maybe higher than the Family Guy. Speaking of the Simpsons... here's an amusing article from Snopes about the Simpsons and "Dear Abby". - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. pilotdave 0 #9 March 13, 2004 I went with Family Guy. It's a very different kind of humor than the simpsons. Much more geared toward adults. They've crossed SO many lines. Can't wait till they bring it back (anyone heard a date?). I'm guessing 2005 will be the last season for simpsons. A couple years ago, I went to see Nancy Cartwright, who does Bart's voice among others, speak. She mentioned that they were planning to do a simpsons movie, but they didn't have the staff to both write the weekly TV shows and write the movie at the same time, so the movie would have to wait until the tv show went off the air. Well, they're saying the movie will be out in 2006 now. I still love the simpsons but family guy is MUCH funnier. Dave
