How to get women

This is going to sounds like a weird question, but what kind of knots do you use? :$

Well actually I'm not usually the one tying the knots. ;):$

That's the great thing about men who were in the Boy Scouts - they're very handy with that kind of stuff. :)
I'd ask my dude about the knots, but he's not here... and it looks like Bill has already given the run-down on all the different knots (while I was away at church). ;)

you really dont want to know (well if you do i'd be happy to demonstrate when you have several hours to kill) the ways i've put spare climbing gear and sailing tackle to use....:)

sometimes you dont even need the knots, tension lines hold rather nicely when properly strungB|

If I ever had to chase them down and subdue them, I got those skills. But mostly, as a Camera Flier, I have to beat them to arm's length.

Us Camera Fliers, Like me and Quade, are just that cool.

good tips..

My favorite rope is a red one.. belts work too and no knots to worry about .. can actually be buckled nice and tight around the wrists. The ropes work better for the ankles though what with tying to the bedposts and all.

On that note, neckties have many uses, especially when one has left the corperate world behind, and doesn't need to wear them anymore.....:)

1) Drop the nice guy act! Don't try to be a jerk because you think that's what girls want, though. We don't. Have something going for yourself other than being "the nice guy." Nice is good, but it's not enough. Nice is not interesting. Don't change who you are, but just realize that many won't be interested in something that just isn't interesting.

Doesn't that just explain a lot!! B|

Here's the dz.com layout......a bunch of "nice guys".......and Clay. :D:D:D

As far as I can tell you really only need to know about ten knots to deal with all sorts of situations.

Bowline (double or triple) - good for a rope around a fixed point.

Figure-8 - for a strong termination at an anchor.

Overhand loop - quicker than a figure-8, not as strong.

Overhand bend - to join two pieces of webbing.

Fishermen's knot and sheet bend - to join two ropes.

Prusik - to ascend ropes in an emergency.

Munter hitch - to descend ropes in an emergency.

Lark's head - to very quickly terminate a line (useful in rigging.)

Clove hitch - for adjustable anchors in ropes.

Square knot - not really that useful but it's the only one most people know.

The question is - is this really thread drift or not?

Yes it is thread drift.

I learned every one of those (and had to demonstrate them in a practical to graduate the mountaneering course I was in), but it's been a while. Nice to see outdoor techniques applied to an indoor sport...>:(
