jurgencamps 0 #27 August 27, 2010 Quote How much does those mPods cost? And can you overtuff one of those bags? I have a 170 in a 150 rig at the moment, is that possible? Since the closingpart is magnetic that might be a problem? I believe it was 80 or 100 € but I have to ask him. I would not overstuff the mpod. In that case I would buy a bigger mpod. Look at http://www.pgasus.be/start.php?pg=text&item=mPOD and the order form at http://www.pgasus.be/mPOD_order.pdf
Mac 1 #28 August 27, 2010 Ive been emailing the guy, Harry, the bag is 100 Euro plus postage... to the UK its 10 Euro. Quote actually the size for a mPOD is not bigger or smaller than any other type of bag. But the closing flap is longer than a normal bag that closes with rubberbands. Logically because the closing flap has to overtake the edge where the magnets are held in place... From the look and sound this is a pretty slick bit of kit and satisfies my desire to have freestowed lines... Im in the process of ordering one... -M
breadhead 0 #29 August 27, 2010 Quote I assume by your post that you jump one, have you any issues or niggles with using it? I have slightly more than 1000 jumps on my mPOD now. I'm never going back! Quote I take it the system increases the size of the bag? Euhm, not really, no. I wrote an article for the BPA Skydiving Magazine about my experiences with the mPOD. The article can be read online on their website: http://edition.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/launch.aspx?referral=mypagesuite&pnum=&refresh=d07F19Gt5f1T&EID=fa8161d4-96c3-43a4-b046-eb59ff49abad&skip=/ Loading their webreader and browsing to page 13-15 might take a while. I guess it will have to wait untill (or if) i downsize. When i bought the gear i had a plan that i would downsize about this time of the year (and when i had made ~70 jumps on the 170) but now that im there, im not sure i want to downsize. Maybe next year.
