Hey folks,
Ward here. For those of you who don't know me, and don't dislike me YET, I jump at Goshen and am so impressed with all the help of you amazing people. Thank you so much for everything. And Wendy, we have met, wether you'll remember or not is another thing but we have.

I am going to explain what is going on with the auction real quick like. On March 6th we will be having a fundraising auction/raffle/dinner/drinking binge/band. It will more than likely be in Elkhart now since it is a good midway point from Goshen to South Bend. I am going to try to have it as close as possible to a hotel for all of us raging drunks. The details are as such. There will be a catered dinner with a per plate fee, probably 20 bucks or so, the dinner is getting catered at cost from Mike Maher a friend and jumper of the dz and the overage will go to the dz. After the dinner we will be auctioning off anything and everything. We have gotten lots of stuff from manufacturers and jumpers. A brand new stackable washer dryer, 50 percent off canopies, several 50 percent off containers, freefly helmets, 50 off jumpsuits, free jumpsuits, tons of stuff and it keeps coming in. Not only auctioning goods but services too, I am offering free reserve repacks for life, 24 hours of slave service, and whatever else I have to do, If I have to dance on tables I'll dance on tables. Anyone can auction themselves off for a date or whatever they want, or give us stuff to auction, whatever you can think up. After the auction I am having one of the areas kick ass bands to play to dance the night away. Don't worry, I am a skydiver and of course there will be booze. There will be a full bar with overpriced drinks with all overage going to the dz. It won't be a cheap evening so bring your pocketbooks but its guaranteed to be a hell of a lot of fun. I am sending a letter to every single person who has ever filled out a waiver with us inviting them so it should be pretty good. If you want send anything to auction or even a date with yourself email me directly for instructions. ward@indianaskydivingacademy.com

Yes Wendy, this was supposed to be a surprise at first until I took them off their own mailing list. But hey I'm the webmaster and Bo doesnt know shit about computers so I thought I was safe. Oh well, they know about the event but thats about it, they dont know what all is involved really or what all is being auctioned and I still want the biggest part to be a surprise to them, as to just how much support they are getting so email me for instructions with anything you want to contribute. You can send money directly to paula@indianaskydivingacademy.com through paypal.

Feel free to add yourself to the mailing list to get the soonest updates on the fundraiser. Thanks again to everyone, Val and Wendy, you rock!!!!!! Here is the link to subscribe to the mailing list.http://www.indianaskydivingacademy.com/mailman/listinfo/isajumpers_indianaskydivingacademy.com
thanks to everyone

Wendy, you are very welcome for the stuff. I'm sorry it couldn't be more. I sure wish I could attend the fundraiser event. But being in Colorado, that's a bit far to drive.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hmmmm -- I'm assuming it must have been at SDC then? Sure hope it wasn't Michigan Avenue here in South Bend ... ;) I'm better at faces than names.
Looking forward to the 6th, and I hope to see more of you there that I've met but swear I haven't ... And even more of you that I actually haven't!
Mary -- you sent plenty! I'll be sure not to model the pants at the auction so they bring the most $$$. ;)And Ward, I had this friend that's no longer with us -- used to say "Don't thank me, pass it on." Been using that one a bit lately.
Thanks to all that have replied and/or donated, and to those that plan to donate -- as well as to those that will attend the fundraiser. YOU'RE the ones that rock here.
Oh yeah -- another thing -- you'll notice this is in Elkhart now, not Goshen. That's good news for you out-of-state travelers, as well as for those that would stay with me. It's *right* on I-80 AND closer to my house. If you chose the casa da Wendybird, and you wish to be one of those raging drunks along with Ward, I'm the designated driver that night. My Montana seats 8. By the way, a Montana is a SCALED-DOWN VERSION OF A FULL-SIZED VAN, so don't dare call it anything else. I'm a little touchy about that.
And to my "little" brother, Eric Stone, that's reading this because I'm *forcing* him to, I challenge you and all your co-workers and friends from over there to come to this fundraiser if you're not too busy with your high-school girlies that night. Even if you're not jumpers (yet) these folks from Goshen are your neighbors. Come help them out!
It's Eric's belief that his dream girl is half his age -- and since she'll be legal in a short year and a half he's busy searching for her as we speak :D
That is all. As always, spread the love, spread the word, and if you see my brother near a high school, take up a collection for bail.
So, does that mean that you're putting that gorgeous girlfriend of yours up for auction so that she can find someone better? :D:P Just jokin' with ya....I can't believe you're dating a Miss Puerto Rico! Does she have a sister for Phreezone??? Can you put her sister up for auction for Phreezone? :D
Adding on...just wanted to throw a link on here to make everyone go, "What the hell is she doing with him???" :ph34r:
Thanks Val,
Thats very flattering. And if it would make the dz go and Bo happy I would, cause I know he would bid away all the proceeds on her. Thanks for the complement, I dont know why she is with me either, way too hot for me. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I can part my hair with my tongue.
Oh and Kramer, who was your first jumpmaster, did you do s/l, how many jumps you got now, and yes I am dating her now. She felt the sheer enormousity in her back on the tandem and she wanted big poppa for hers to keep. I have taken her on 6 tandems and a level 1 AFF. This season she will get her license.
Just want to thank everyone again. Bo, Paula, Myself and everyone are so gratful. For all of you that are involved and may not know Bo that well I will tell you that his friendship and gratitude come with a lifetime guarantee. He is hands down my best friend after Vanessa and no one deserves good things and the chance to make his dream come true more than him.
Sweet! I guess we'll be seein her around. B|
Uh, I had Paula for my first jump, I made five up there total. I had you for numbers 4 and 5. Jump 5, clear and pull, dearched onto my back after missing the ripcord the first time, then finally got it. You failed me (I deserved it), like a Monday afternoon I think. Ring a bell? :D
Anyway, I went down to Florida and did AFF over Christmas, and I'm hoping to have my A before April even rolls around, we'll see. Moral of the story, no more static line. ;)
Peace!
Hey Ward,
We have talked about auctioning a lot of stuff, so I got to thinking HMMMMMMMMMMM, what about a "love slave" auction. I would gladly step up to be auctioned( for the good of the dz of course) We have a lot of hotties out there: Val, Wendy, Vanessa,and you of course. Any one else want to throw their hat in the ring?
Do you think I should ask Angie first? I wonder if she would even bid on me!
Wow. I don't think I've ever been described as a "hottie" before. I think I'm a little old to fit that particular description ... Or at least my girls would tell you that ...
Schindler already offered a whopping 100 cents for a night in my bed. Fortunately, my bed is big enough that I may not even notice he's there :P Do I hear 101???
Any and all ideas are welcome, of course. Keep brainstorming!
101!!!
Age does not matter. You are a skydiver with a big heart who is trying to get the word out and offering help in any way you can. That is "HOT";)
I also wanted to add this from the rest of the staff at ISA. I think I can speak for them when I say thank you to everyone out there, and to Bo and Paula we are behind you 100%. Just let us know what you need.
Looking forward to the fundraiser to see some familiar faces and to meet some new ones.
Exactly, anyone that thinks they can help out it would be much appreciated. Even if you think it's too small. It's NEVER too small of a donation. Unfortunately I can't be AT the fundraiser myself. Anyone from the midwest that can go should.
How about when they reopen in April? :)
I agree!!!! Who would want to pass up an opportunity to get drunk with cool people, possibly hook up, and participate in an auction for cool stuff while helping out some cool people?
We would love to have you at stop by any time you get this way. There will always be fun jumps and cold beer.
That goes for you too Sunshine. Stop by and we can do a few dz.commer loads out of our little cessna, drink a lot of beer, and tell "no shit there I was" stories.
