HRHSkyPrincess 0 #26 March 8, 2004 Maybe that's where you missed out, registering like SkyMonkey One said. Get with it, Marine, and get yourself the benefits you earned!! Semper fi. :)***************** Attitude is everything!
freefallfreak 0 #27 March 8, 2004 Thank you, Chuck. As a 100% service-connected disabled veteran, I concur with all you said. I have no idea where people get the idea that they have no benefits as a retiree, but it's just not true. The benefits are there. A person just has to know which papers to fill out. Luv2Fall 0 #28 March 8, 2004 Not true, Lee. Both my family and I have medical benefits as a result of my retirement.

I've learned that if you push enough paper at them, they will eventually give up and give you anything you want...it makes for interesting ideas. I requested a BowFlex once and pushed enough paper at them that I have a nice excersize machine sitting in my spare bedroom...not a BowFlex, mind you cause it was too expensive, but a nice machine, no less...hehehe. And don't ask how I got it, what excuse I used or how long it took...just rest assured that all it takes is enough paper work, lol.
