freeflir29 0 #52 March 7, 2004 QuoteWould this be the reason for the name? Not sure how he got the name but any guy that starts a skydive at 3800 and leaves at 3500 is wasting altitude. We had PLENTY of time for a dock.....

bobsled92 0 #55 March 7, 2004 QuoteI think the only time its fair to judge a DZ is after you go and experience it for your self. People told me I'd hate Deland since it was so team driven, I had a decent time there and had a great jump even though it was'nt my favorite DZ ever. I think more people need to get out and see more DZ's there is a whole range of experiences to be introduced to at different DZ's. _________________________________________________ As far as :DELAND goes....After SEVERAL people I know, have gone there and jumped and spent there time and money. They were NOT "team" and were treated like outcasts that were "tolerated" for bringing they're business there. The "TEAM" packing verses the "melt in the sun packing, was a big issue of which was made pointful to them immediatly. (THis is of experiences from 12 different people over a 9 year period)_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/

carbonezone 0 #57 March 7, 2004 Wanna make an Instructor or staff love you? When approached by a student; no matter what the reason - tell the student, "Ya know, you have a guy/girl that has gone through a lot of training to get that rating and has been training skydivers for a long time. What ever they say - do that." Unless you, of course, see an immediate safety related issue and even then... if you have the opportunity - take the Instructor or Coach aside and point it out. Now - give us a break, an occasional hug and point the students back to us if approached. That's all we ask. Quote WELL SAID <> Tami
